Indoor How many plants to grow?? 1 or multiple?

Hi ive been looking this up for a while and can't seemed to find the answer.it's not a case of how many.wot I mean is isit better to grow 1 or say 3 plants.Ive seen quite a few grows do one plant that produces alot.now I know it also comes down to experience on how much someone can make one plant do.
The main question is can a plant do better if it has its own space.like can having 3 plants in the same space diminish it's yield potential.here is a grow one guy did it's think different seed in soil 3 plants with a yield of 316g.........http://www.dutch-passion.nl/en/news...different-316g-harvest-from-3-plants-by-hazy/

The one plant he used 15 litre or 20 litre pot.also they are both first time grows i think...so an example I'm thinking of is doing think different plants. But 1 plant in 15-20 litre pots or 3 plants in the same size pots. The tent is 0.8m x 0.8m x 1.8m...I keep thinking would more plants in small space produce less.I thought maybe the only way to know would be with experience and trying it out.but would be quite annoying to do 1 when 3 would be better.so thought would ask some that have more experience and knowledge onit.also gives u something to think about lol thanks

The number of plants depends on how much room you have and the amount of lighting you have.As long as you have enough space between plants so they get proper air circulation and light can reach side branches you can have multiple pots.Also remember the bigger the pots the bigger the plants will get that's if every thing else is done right.

Thanks yh mine are quite close actually.like the pots are touching and branches crossover but all buds get light.hopefully there alright then.I might just do 1 think different plant under my big led panel in a 30 -40 litre pot just take the chance.I will definitely be doing a journal if I do

I have had single larger plants under lights by them self but the returns are not worth it. I could do one plant and get 3 oz or 4 and get 2 oz apiece. The other plants shade the sides and lower part of the other plans in the room a little compared to a single plant but if your going for total weight 3 or 4 are better than 1 if doing autos.
