Hi,
Ive treated a bud on each one of my AF's with silver colloidal concentrate 50 ppm. My plants are almost 60 days old so I'm not worried about pollinating them. Just wondered how long the pollen sac need to develop? Plan on saving it for next go round. I'm thinking about harvesting when ready and leaving the treated buds till pollen is ready to collect. Currently have one each of Diesel Berry, Royal Cheese, and Royal Sweet Black Cream. Also have a seed of each I plan on breeding next time!
2 of the 3 started showing male characteristics a couple of days ago so I've stopped spraying them.
Any feed back is greatly appreciated!

not sure you should have waited so long , even the treated branches/buds will prolly die of old age before you get viable pollen even to harvest/store

Thanks. I had been treating a branch of 2 of 3 plants then stopped after three weeks use. Then went a week with out spraying and started spraying one bud on each treated branch, six days of doing this and it started to show male traits.

If I don't get pollen this time I'm going to start 1 of my 3 remaining seeds and start spraying earlier. Also going to use Tiresias Mist.

Hi Smoothy! Tiresias Mist does work but if you are going to be in this for the long haul as a hobby I would suggest making your own.

I get that you want to get something to work ASAP but again, for the long run, check out THIS thread. Pretty long and much to learn but it's well worth the time it takes to read. Again, I get that you want something to use quick, this is for the long haul. Put it on the back burner.

That being said, this was done with homemade CS:

The way that has worked for me (still new myself) is to stagger the planting of two seeds two weeks.

Sprout one and grow, then two weeks later plant your other one in another container. It seems to take two weeks to get the flowers changing.

Spray the plant you are changing daily, concentrating on bud sites.

Then when both plants are older you can pollinate a bottom branch of the younger plant and get your seeds that way. You have to grow two seperate plants but in the long run you get an entire plant of bud minus one branch that was seeded.

The pollen donor is, sadly, terminated. Worked great in my first trial and looks as if it's going to go really good in my current one.

Hey smoothy!

You have to start spraying when the female flowers start to show or just before. And you need to spray at least 2 times a day.
Do not smokethe stuff you treat.

Also its so easy to make your own CS. You can make it out of quarts 1964 and older.

Works fine. Anyone that says it does not can kiss me butt. Have a thread here showing it does.

Nben nice flower man! +reps

Thanks so much for the rep hank!!!

Hank, you brought up something very important. The plant you are spraying is OFF LIMITS to smoking or any method of consumption. The plant that was pollinated can be used just like any other plant.

i have no doubt it will work with the old quarters you mention , but keep in mind they are not pure silver , so dont drink the stuff , wear a mask and gloves when spraying

ive personally seen 96% silver work , but i chose 99.99 % pure for the health reasons and the fact i drink c.s. as it is good for you in soooo many ways

peace

Thanks for all the help!
I'm just sick of buying seeds! Will have to try making my own cs. Thanks again

I know what you mean. That's why I started doing it. Besides the money the worrying if they will be seized is just way too much stress for me!
