Going to try to create some seeds outdoors in a strip of trees with openings occasionally. Planning to plant 2 sister plants in 5 different locations, basically in a straight line, each of a different auto variety. Each set of 2 plants will be approximately 90 meters apart. One of the two in each set will be reversed using STS to produce female pollen. I KNOW there is a chance of getting seeds from any of the males in this area, but Im assuming that MOST of the seeds produced will be from the male closest instead of one a good distance away. Male will be about 3 feet to the NW of the female, wind here usually blows from that direction... They will all be sprayed with STS at the same time, in 2 week intervals, until pollen is produced.
Any suggestions to make this work better? Approximately what percentage of the seeds produced, in a situation like this, will be from the chosen male?
