Hi All
Real newbie question: how far away would you say these are (if the photos are good enough). They're a 7 1/2 week variety (sweetseeds Fast Bud Auto #2) & I reckon I'm on week 6 . although I've had dumbass newbie issues which will have probably slowed things down a little.
Thanks

If you can take pics of the actual buds, we may be able to see the trichomes. Newbie tip: Don't go off of the time that the packaging says.. Go off of the plant instead.. When to harvest is determined by checking the trichomes on or closest to the buds. Not by the color or shape of the pistils, or by the trichomes on the sugar leaves.

Great thanks for taking the time to leave that tip - I have a new phone microscope that I can have more fun with tomorrow lol. For the timing, I'd been warned to take that with pinch of salt - as for listen to the plant, that's where is I'm at, only this is my first run and I don't speak no plant (yet) lol. Frankly I'm bewildered they've grown - in spite of the abuse I've hurled at them, god luv 'em. Anyroad, just to be sure - and I'm cringing about how newbie this question is - the trichomes are the ones that look like short fine hairs in some of the pics above, right? There, doesn't get much more newbier than that, I'd say

Trics are the mushroom shapes that are glistening in the pics. Those white hair thingies will change color but it's the trics that are primary....imo you've got a bit to go...2 maybe 3 weeks...

What he said! it looks like they are mostly clear/ cloudy with not much amber. I usually wait till I see some ambers that way most should be cloudy.

JMHO
Peace

It's called "weed" for good reason, lol. Because it sure does grow like a weed. You have to actually try really hard to kill off a cannabis plant so a little punishment won't hurt it, lol. Here is one of my favorite charts to use from when I was learning the plant anatomy. These are terms you will constantly hear...
