Just harvested a soil based grow that had fungus gnats. Got some neem oil and sticky cards which virtually eliminated them but I wonder if I need to do anything drastic in cleaning the tent before starting a fresh Promix grow. I have new pots and have heard both of these suggestions:
1) 25% white vinegar and water in spray bottle and wipe dry.
2) Clorox Spray Cleaner then wipe with wet sponge and let dry.
Do I need to get to all surfaces like the flexible venting tubing (that would be a royal PITA)?

I wipe the walls between grows with weak bleach, clean fans and lights and thats about it. My understanding is fungus gnats have a short life when flying and will spend most of it seeking food and a place to lay eggs. Kinda doubtful they would have and lingering flys or larvae unless you left a major mess of soil. I had issues with fungus gnats until i started using diatomaceous earth. Cool stuff

Thanks Brich, was your gnat problem was with a soil based grow? I am hoping the Promix will be clean and not bringing any bugs in. I ran my first grow in Promix BX and never saw a gnat.
