New Grower Honey's Journey

Okay Guys,

This is just something I' am messing around with, deff not serious. Hubby and I were thinking back in the day plants grew without knowing of PH balance or nutes, ferts etc so I has some reg AK47 extreme fems laying around and we thought we would just plant an water and go from there. I can't tell you how long she has been going for but I can tell you we used miracle grow all purpose soil. Just something we has laying around in the back yard. We also added urine for one feeding and been doing water here an there. Like I said no scheduled for anything just a natural grow like back when. I am shocked to say she is about 4" an has her first sets of flower Just recently added a florescent light. We are doing 18/6 lights on and off. I feel like its taking quite a few weeks to get to this point but she is stretching. I just wanted to share this as the beginning of a journal. Next month we will be serious of our ladies an how to properly do things so we can grow biggest yeilds possible with auto, its just trying to figure out what is the most potent high with good yields. There are just so many pretty ladies. Happy urinating

-Grow Tent 2X4 Heavy Duty
-AgroBrite Florescent Grow Lights T5 4Ft/4 Tube Fixture with bulbs
-Gale Force 4" Inline Fan 182 CMF
-Convert Carbon Filter 4" X 12" 200 CFM
-Hydrobuilder Variable Fan speed Controler
-Hydrobuilder 24 Hour Dual Outlet Grounded Timer
-Hydrobuilder 1/8" Heavy Duty Light Hangers
-Easy Flow Premium Black Inside Foil Ducting with with 2 Clamps 4", 25FT

I already have a digital PH Meter on the way. I will be using 5 Gallon Buckets and will put my seed directly in this pot from germination.

For soil,WG shared a homemade mix that I will be using.
-Alaska Fish Emulsion (5-1-1)
-Miracle Gro Liquid Quick Start (4-12-4)
-Epsoma Bio-Tone Starter+ Organic (4-3-3)
-32QT Harvest Superpowered Organic Potting Mix (0.1-0.5-0.5)
-8QT Miracle Gro Perlite
-2x 4LB Natural Coarse Sand
-1 Bottle BlackStrap Molasses - Any grocery store

My Tent will hold about 3 plants so now is the hardest part for me. Looking for three beautiful ladies preferably auto with good yields but don't grow higher than my tent obviously. I read about topping and other things so it doesn't get so tall an bushes out, however being a beginner I will probably kill a beautiful gal trying this. Any ideas on whats really potent,lots of resign an high yields. There are just to many places to get seeds I don't know where to go or what to get.

If you are getting auto seeds, they pretty much all finish up short.

Because of the short life cycle, you can't really top autos.

You can use low stress techniques, I tend to let them do what they want.

As for seed choice, the world is your lobster!

Peruse the seed companies, pay your money, make your choice.

You will be happy with what you grow, so don't necessarily just use thc% as your guide for seed choice. You mentioned wanting bushy plants,look for those genetics.

Miracle grow is not a good choice for pot. Lots of different ways to take this, I use a potting soil made for pot.
Dr Earth Pot of Gold... There must be a grow store in your area, see what they have. You can get the Dr Earth at Home Depot.

I am a gardener more than a pot grower. Seems like the guys here have all kinds of gadgets. I got a thermometer at Amazon for about 10 bucks. It also does humidity, but all I pay attention to is the temp. You want to avoid 90s.


I use a reservoir pot because it's easy. Once the root system is established I just fill the reservoir when the pot gets light. Takes 2 or 3 days.

Because I use potting soil with fertiliser, I don't actually use much of the bigger bottles. But it's handy to have everything you need all together in one box with instructions on the side.

My first real grow was World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder. I was very pleased with the stone. You can find a lot of reviews, it used to be the most popular auto. There are a ton of choices now. What I would suggest is going to the Single Seed Center and
look at what they have, and then check the reviews to see what people thought of them. One very popular seed I grew that was easy to grow and made a lot of pot was Dutch Passion's Auto Blueberry.

I also started with flourescents, in a home made box. I graduated after a while to a tent the same size as yours, and a 400 watt HPS with an enclosed hood.

You want a couple small fans going 24/7 to blow gently on the plant. Helps the plant breath.

One thing about the reservoir pot.. if you get a hungry plant, you can fill the reservoir and it will be empty in an hour. You put in some more, how much depends on the plant.

Okay,
My wonderful cannabis plant experiment the hubby killed it. I' am so sad. She was growing so big. Hubby tried putting a stick in with her and bent her in half. What a tragedy. Thank god I will be in charge of our operation when we get all of our equipment hhahahah. R.I.P little ak47 extrm until we meet again. Now off to picking what we will start out with.
