New Grower HM Digital PH-200 Meter - slow reading

I know many members have this unit. Is it just a slow thinker when calculating PH or do I need to switch out batteries. Temp. shows immediately but PH reading is painstakingly slow and once it gets to a reading stops and then may move a tenth of a fraction either way before settling down. It's like waiting for my dog to find the just right--that perfect plot of land to do her thing--come on now its all grass. Any tricks of the trade? Of course, it is slower with added supplements etc.

I've got a Hanna Combo and it takes it's time before finally settling on a final reading. I think that's pretty normal, especially when taking reading right after mixing nutes.

Alan I have the same meter and it will be easier if you mix several hours before but yes it will take a while to settle while adjusting.

I have the HM meter and you are supposed to actually move the meter while in the water for a faster reading. I do a stirring like motion and it seems to be fairly quick, try that once.
