Lighting HLG QB vs. Mars Hydro SP

Hey folks,

I'm currently running a HLG 135 QB v2 in my 20"x36" tent. I'll be upgrading to a 2ft x 4ft tent soon, and I'm debating two different lightning options:

1. Purchase a second HLG 135 QB v2;
2. Retire my old HLG 135 QB v2 and get a new Mars Hydro SP 3000.

Option 2 is a fair bit more expensive, but it appears to be a great light for a 2x4 tent. Does anyone have any experience with both HLG QB's and the MH SP series?

For only a tenner more than the SP3000 cost, you could instead get 3 x TS1000 and have 450w instead of 300w, I have a 2x4x6 Mars Hydro tent myself and did first grow with two of the TS1000, which was plenty for the tent but I decided to add a 3rd one after week 4 in my second grow.
I'm not sure how much the AFN discount code is worth but 5% is better than nothing.
@Marshydro mentioned a sale in one of the other threads so maybe look up the details.
HLG does have a good reputation as well so you won't really go wrong either way.

It’s nice to have two separate lights, it allows you to adjust for various canapy heights.
I usually grow 2 plants in a 2x4, so two lights work well.
HLG is a nice light
