I have a choice between a 3x3x7 room or a 2x5x7 grow environment and with that comes the choice of lighting.

I could go with 400w HID in the 3x3 or the T5 ( Quantum 4ft 8 bulb )

My question is which would be the better option for 2-3 Autos ? also, which would be a better room for working with ?

Welcome, Wook. There's no denying that HID produces nice plants, but in a space that small, heat is going to be a big concern. The Badboy T5 fixtures also have the potential to produce some excellent grows, and they also run very cool so it would likely simplify your ventilation setup if you went that route. It all really depends on your area and factors such as having a source of cool intake air and how much stealth you need (more fans = more noise). As for the space, I personally prefer the rectangular shape over the square as it's easier to access the plants for inspection and watering when they become larger. Either way, I'd say you should be able to get at least 4 plants in that space unless you're going to use giant pots.

I've got a room identical to your 3x3x7 with an 8 bank set of T5's and the plants love it. 2-3 plants would be good in that space although at the moment i have 5 crammed in there and its a tad much.
