Firstly welcome to afn:dance:

you came to the right place for autos this site is second to none and we are quite friendly too!

what seeds did you get, if you dont mind me asking?

i hope i will be able to chip in with some help i am not that far from you so maybe a bit of local knowledge.

good luck with your growing :peace:

TOKE OUT

Thanks for all the replies!
The seeds I got are Super Critical, Big Bang and Auto Bomb!
How do you fellow irishmen grow? Im thinking of going the greenhouse route, lots more privacy for me which is important as ye can imagine...:p
I am currently germing the big bang and auto bomb, the bigbang is nearly ready for planting, I will start a grow diary asap, thanks for the suggestion!

might have missed ur chance this year but give it a go. get good soil would be advice id give:peace: and good wheather karma sent to you, sj

I hope not but I'll give it a go regardless! I've got a big shop to do tomorrow, il be well prepared, i will keep everyone posted!

I googled "october temperatures Ireland" - afraid I have some bad news for you:

September

  • Minimum Temperature 49 °F
  • Maximum Temperature 62 °F
  • Daily Sunshine 4:18 hrs

October

  • Minimum Temperature 46 °F
  • Maximum Temperature 57 °F
  • Daily Sunshine 3:06 hrs

November

  • Minimum Temperature 40 °F
  • Maximum Temperature 50 °F
  • Daily Sunshine 2:24 hrs
If I were you, I'd probably move to the southern U.S to grow autos Aug-Nov this year, otherwise (if the google is true) you cannot grow autos in Ireland in an unheated greenhouse - it will be too cold. Also, if the google is true, ya ain't goin ter ave enoof o' Mr. Sunshines' smilin' face nayther.

I suggest you get yourself a nice 48 inch six-lamp t5 fixture and grow indoors in soil - do that, and come November, you'll be as stoned as an Iranian fornicator.

I love this reply! Thanks so much for the input! I would have never bought the greenhouse if i could grow indoors, the smell wouldn't work out very well, regarding heat Im fully kitted out, I Argos'd myself a nice greenhouse heater, keeps things at whatever temp I want - whats optimal?
If lack of light is a problem, I could sort something out, getting power to it is no problem at all, what type of lighting is best or do I just go for the brightest!?
I do have a page bookmarked with a decent looking indoor grow setup layout, i will check out some methods for masking smell (surely one exists?)
Just to be clear I appreciate all help/advice whether I wanna hear it or not, i know it looks like i am trying my best to ignore what you just posted - thats not the case at all!
