hi there everyone. im new here.
about to start my second grow, and decided to go for autos this time.
i fiured it would be best to join the auto forum since u guys seem to understand autos better than the folk on the other forums.
my setup is:
ROOM: 2x3 foot room. height is 5 feet.
LIGHTING: mars hydro 96x3 LED
ACTIVE EXHAUST, passive intake.
SOIL: mix of cocoa, vermiculite, perilite, earth (similiar to biobizz light mix)
NUTES: biobizz start pack (biogrow, biobloom, topmax, root juice). Dolomite lime mixed in soil.

my past grow was with sativa, and sat dom strains, so i did alot of topping and LST'ng very hard, to keep everything at the correct height. also used a scrog to make things even.

as i mentioned above, i wanna take a try autos and see how i like them. the strains im currenlty trying is:

1)auto speed (a freebie from seedsman) (2 month complete time)
2)jamaican berry (flash stich)> (pleasea anyone who has done this strain, i really would appreciate some feedback) 3 month time
3)maui waui (NOT AN AUTO). from nirvana

so my first question is, regarding the maui waui i have two options with this one. to veg them the whole time till the autos are finished (20/4), and onlly then after the autos are finished, to switch to 12/12. or perhaps, to let everything go on 20/4 for two months, and then switch to 12/12 for the last month of the jamaican berry auto. that way i can start flowreing the maui waui, and the jamaican berry, (which is supposed to take 3 months to finish), will need to be on 12/12 for its last month intsead of 20/4....

well, im happy to be here. hope to see more of yall.
peace and happiness

Hello O happy one,

cheers for doing an intro. I wish more new member would. I makes us all part of the happy community. I can't help you with those varieties as I have not grown them. But I am sure someone will soon chip in.

Welcome to AFN. eP.

Sadly, I've never grown those strains, but I have done autos and photos in the same room, but it can be frustrating to say the least. You do have some options, but I wouldn't put an auto under a 12/12 cycle, their flower time is just too short. In a perfect world (I'm trying to find it, still), I'd have different rooms for autos and photos.
Lets say your autos finish, and you put the photo under 12/12 for flower. Now you have a space that is locked into 12/12, so any more autos you want to crack will have lower yields because of the short light cycle. :cuss:
2X3 is a smallish room, but doable, just remember to consider floor space before you get things going. Pot size, plant size, fan, max light height, all these things will determine how many plants you can fit.

Welcome happy joy. Sounds like a plan. Veg as long as it takes to flower autos and then switch.or you could step your light down over the few weeks as ghe autos finish.
