Hermies

I've noticed redently I've gotten 3 types of hermies since I have been growing auto's:

1) starts out male, then throws out pistals near the top
2) starts out female then explodes into a hermie with male and female flowers all over the plant ussually grouped together.
3)female plant that grows 1 or 2 stalked male flower pods near the base of the plant.

IME the first 2 types are a lost cause, but the third type never grows anymore male flowers once the couple male pods are picked off.

Can any of the pro's here explain the difference and is the 3rd type ok to use for breeding?

I just had a supersonic cristal storm turn into the second type:cuss:I've got one more that I'm watching closely and i think it's gonna do the same thing.

I recently had a jem go the route of the third. Seeing as it was a seed run and I didn't want to be looking for male flowers twice a day I dropped the axe on her. Just remember that anytime you grow an intersex plant out you're risking the rest of your crop.

As soon as I saw the male flowers it came out of my tent. No way am I risking screwing up the good stuff.

It's a trick, get an axe.

Got it. Hell it would be packed full of worthless seeds anyway.:cuss:

twice its happened to me the 3rd type after i pickeded off the male parts they never came back.

Really like hear Cres, Mossy, and LBH's opoinions on hermie types

Correct me if i'm wrong, I was under the impression the 3rd example was the male sac you do wan't for breeding. That sac being low on the plant is actually female genetics not a true hermie. On the other hand if the calyx is both female and male on the third example given then hermie genetics will be in that sac. Been doing some reading hahaha :bong:
