Brand new grower here. Please help me identify the problem with my first grow.
Using biobizz light mix, temps are 70s humidity stays steady at 50%. Two girls under two 300w mars hydro leds. Watering with tap water, no way to check PH will start using distilled water ASAP. I am letting the water sit to dechlorinate.
I would say pH is high, but your just feeding tap water? Unless your tap water is pH 8 or higher that shouldn't happen. Do you live in Flint Michigan? How high are the lights? They should be 20 or more inches at seedling stage, and no need for a fan right on them, just gentle air movement. Definitely work on getting a pH meter though, it's a very handy tool.
I’ve read a lot about over watering, I let the soil get pretty dry on top before watering, just watered before snapping that pic and I had to stick my finger halfway up my finger into the soil until it was moist
The lights were probly close, but that is a lot of leaf damage. I still suspect something in your feed water. Perhaps it's very hard or alkaline water, RO is expensive, I just use cheap whole house filters and it gets most of the junk out.

That would do it, in addition to light close, it would cause that. I don't know how much space you have, but stunted seedlings can take a while to grow out. My current plant was a stunt, and she is almost 5 months old now. Beautiful and huge, but taking forever and a day. Unless you are seed challenged or cant get more I'd plant new ones with lessons learned.
They don't need much light at all, it is fine to be at 20-30 inches. For soil growing I like to germinate in a towel or a rockwool plug in a tupperware or zip lock bag. I plant in it's final pot, and water the pot fully saturated and then let to sit for a few minutes and drain. I water the seedling with a spray bottle, or very lightly once a day poured (gently) right over her head. When she gets a second set of real leaves I start treating more like an adult.
AN auto flower can still take that long? I’ve got one seed left and I’m really too broke to order more, growing these beans was my last shot. Is it worth the trouble to ride out the damage or should I just say fuck it and start a new grow in like a month or more?

In that case I would keep at it, they will recover as long as they are taken care of. Don't be surprised if one takes an extra month or two though. Some may, some may not.
Anyone else have any ideas? Going to raise the lights a little more when I get home and also going to wait till the soil is pretty dry before watering again. Hopefully my girls perk up, I’ve put a lot into this grow and pray everything works out.
