Indoor help ,Rockwool growing Question

Hey Guys and Girlz!

Some one thats good whit Rockwool questions!
This maybe sounds little crazy but im working on a ide..
Can you grow an auto or regular seed for that matter whit Rockwool whit out a hydro set ,i mean coud you it work just grow in rockwool like soil??
I know its far from the same thing.. For about 10years maybe i saw my first rockwool grow on the net and they were only on a little plate and the guy was watering them like whit soil ,whit a wather can..
Thats why i wonder!
Does this realy work?
I never grow whit rockwool so i have no clue.....

Hey man. I've never seen this before. Do you mean the rockwool cube and nothing more? It would get far too big for that, beside the fact that you'd have to water every 20 minutes or something or have a drip system.

All in all. I wouldn't do this. But you can try and document it here if you like

Most people would go with an ebb and flow or drip lines into large rock wool cubes. Sometimes the cubes are on top of rockwool slabs for more root room. Rockwool can hold quite a bit of water with a large enough block you could hand water if you needed to. Some plant support, trellising, is usually necessary in such set ups. Cheers

I saw a grow to whit a slap under the cub but this was just one cub ,maybe it was just a show thing.. i dont know..i was alittle cunfused to thats why i ask..If it workt it coude be cool!

The white slab was probably more rockwool they come wrapped in white plastic pretty often.
