Hi Guys,

My plants seem to be going a bit yellow on the tips. Now there starting to go wierd like on the photo. What is it?

I thought there wasnt enough nitrogen so ive been giving them it, started doing that 2 days ago. Some seem to be getting better and i thought it might be the heat? So ive hired my lights a bit. Cheers! 20120321_220457.jpg

Hey man. We'll need a bit more info to help you out, please sir.

>What kind of soil are you using?
>What is the ph of your runoff?
>How old is the plant? And assuming it is an Auto?

After we know this someone can help you out more easily.

Irm im just using standard potting soil, it has bonemeal mixed in with it. The plants are about 16 days old. I was giving them nutrients which i got free with my lighting kit. Its called Ace something as the label came off. Ive stopped that now and been giving them nothing for the past 4/5 days. It seems to be getting worse. 3 of the plants out of 4 are effected, the 4th one is not and tbh is the best one out of the lot. I have no Ph equipment what so ever and some shitty nutrients. I get paid in like 2 weeks so i was wondering if theres anything i can do now. I think i have a deficiancy somewhere so im gonna get some nutes when i get paid, i was thinking 20-20-20. Does that sound reasonable?

Still assuming that it is an autoflowering plant, then it does not need any nutes for the first three weeks. Especially if you have what you call standard potting soil and added bone meal. That means it already has those nutes plus whatever was already in the soil most likely. AFs don't like nutes until a little later on. It could be nute burn and/or ph being off which would cause lockouts. So it wouldn't how many nutrients you add if the ph is off then it won't be able to uptake any of them, which leads to defiency but not because the nutes aren't there. You should at least get the cheap liquid dropper kit to check the ph of the water you're feeding it and to check the runoff ph too. Ph is probably the most important thing about growing cannabis and the most common nube problem. Just feed it plain water and get yourself a test kit and some ph up and ph down to maintain your ph, which should be around 6.1-6.5 for soil. Hope this helps.

Without knowing the pH of your soil it's almost impossible to say if it's pH lockout causing a deficiency or an actual deficiency. Do you have more information on your potting soil? Brand, any nutrients in it, etc. The more information you can give the better we can help.

U need to get a ph tester to now wat the ph is ur feeding and the ph run off with out one the water ur feeding could be loads out the plant would be more happier with the rite ph water u can go get a cheap liquid ph tester it's better then not one at all for like £5 just to test water this would help a lot here some thing like this

Ive been on hydrohobby and im ordering some Ph stuff, micro nutrients, veg nutes and budding nutes sometime this week. So i should have them shortley, il post my results so someone can advise me on the next steps. Ive attached some photos here so you can see what im going on about. Cheers

I'm still thinking it's a lock out situation causing N and P deficiencies. But giving extra nutes won't help if the pH is off, and in fact, could hurt. Even a cheap pH test kit would at least give a general idea where you're pH is at.

They look about the size mine are 13 days.I havn't added anything other than ph water and mine look great. It must be the nutes which might be to strong for the young girls. what kind of pots are they, they look different.A pot plant will grow for weeks without the need of nutes, and sombody did a plant the entire grow and it did flower an produce buds and it actually looke good ,I beleve it was in ffof and no nutes,
