Just give them more light, the more the better.
Back to the original question, to get rid of the shell and the membrane that is beneath (don't ignore this cause it is more crucial), drop a few drops of water and with your CLEAN bare wet hands gently, softly, carefully and slowly caress the head and they will both be gone.
