Hi heads

Got me a little lady, a Dr Krippling chocolate orange, she has broken through the dirt ceiling but still has the seed husk firmly in place.
Any ideas what I can do?

Sometimes nature will take its cource,, how long to give it is your call but if needed give it a gentle spray a few times with water and gently loosen it off with tweezers,, I done this a few times, in general your fine, on occasions you find them baby leaves just welded to the inside on shell, good luck

Keep the lights on. I have put a real small piece of toilet paper on it and keep it moist with an eyedropper. If that does not work after a few hours then I use dental picks to get it off. Half of the time I have done this I won. :goodluck:

Thanks guys.

In the end I left her, and when I looked today, the seed had split enough for me to easily separate it from the shoot. There was like a little swimming cap of inner husk on the top of the shoot that wouldn't dislodge. So I left that too.
Later on, the plant had started to unfurl. We have lift off!

Well she survived and id say, prospered.

Im experimenting with topping and lst. Minced the topping, so she had three leaders. But that lst is awesome. Cant wait to see what this can do. Dr Kripplings genetics are sturdy and resiliant.

No smell of blueberry, but a lovely aroma of forest fresh pine, new paint and something sweet and dank
