New here, longer time stalker, first time poster. I've run tons of great threads here and it's about time I start to participate.

I live in the Caribbean and have decided to do some indoor growing. With my weather, and extreme power prices, north of $.45/kWh, I am going to need some help with keeping heat down and power usage reasonable.

After reading some great grow journals by tang, hazy, and billy wu, I've decided to go with Dutch Passions Think Different as my first grow. She just popped her head out today. I'll jump over to the new growers forum and start a journal.

I see you've already found some killer journals to read for inspiration!
I was in the Caribbean last year on a jetski looking at the 80f temperature gauge and thinking "this would be an awesome place to grow a nice plant" .. not in the sea, but you know what i mean ^_^

Right now I'm going to run 250w HPS, tent is 2.5'x2.5'x6'. With ambient temps about 82, I'm definitely going to have to run the AC. I'll try to keep it right at 78 and try to keep the tent around 85. I was originally planning on LED, but with where I'm located, any issues with the lights and I'm screwed. I can't just run down to the local hydro shop, everything needs to be shipped. So I'll run HPS for a couple grows then move to LED, and I'll have the HPS as my backup.

Blue: there are tins of people that do stealth grows out here. Driving around you can smell it in the bush. They do send out helicopters a couple times of year to search for grow areas. That's about the time you see everyone stopped by the side of the road grabbing there crop.
