Hello all...any advice?

Hi guys

This will be my first grow and I am pumped to get started. I will be growing Critical Purple from GC in Ocean soil in 5 gal containers outdoors, The high temp here is ~70F and lows are around 50F.
-Has anyone else grown this strain, is it cannaboid 'rich'?
-Are my temps ok to plant?
-Any info/advice growing?

....and any other advice.

This site has been VERY informative and I have learned a lot. Hats off to the creators/admin/moderators.

@MattL7 Welcome to AFN It all sounds good except 50°F is too cold. Plants will not grow. you want to shoot for 64°F as a minimum night time temperature. 70°F is the lowest you want for daytime as well. 78°F is better.

Oh yeah OF is too hot for seedlings. Make a quart sized hole in the pot and fill with seed starting formula to start the seed in. You will not need to feed the OF for 3 to 5 weeks. Then feed balanced nutrients every 3rd or 4th watering.

AFN is the place to be for autos. Some here are conservative and some push their rope a lot but most of us grow good weed...
Get your lights-on temps between 78-82 and lights-off bout 65 ... then work on other parameters...
I've not used OF but a lot do so perhaps a OF grower will chime in. I use a similar but lighter medium...bio bizz light mix...
Watering frequency is a priority and 5 gal containers is gonna test your patience. I'd suggest a moisture meter...you'll be surprised at how infrequent you'll water for a while.

I grew growers choice critical purple in ocean forrest years back. Its going to run out of steam pretty quickly unless you amend it..... and that strain gets pretty big. Mine yellowed out a couple weeks early. I amend the ocean forest with build a flower top dress from build a soil .com and mix some roots micro greens into the ocean forrest to lighten it up.. then I use the build a flower as a top dress throughout flower and water with molasses every other watering. The roots micro greens is also a good seed starter. The critical purple is the one in the back left:

Yes any commercial seed starter will work just fine.

Thank you very much. You had said make a quart sized hole in the pot..did you mean quarter?
