hello growers

how do you judge how tall your grow will be when using lst training in your grow and what seed sellers are proposing will be the height of the plant? often a range like 60-80 cm is advertised....but can I assume it will be 60cm if I get my environment right on a indoor grow and do training? grateful for thoughts

Do you have a limited height space to grow in? Every seed is different and the breeder information is an average but I find it is often close enough to plan on. The first thing that will sometimes give a shorter plant is to top it above the fourth node. You won't have the dominant cola that often is much taller than the rest of the plant. You will also get a better yield with topping. Then if this does not gain enough height use a net and train the plant under it for a while. Once it starts to flower let it grow up. There is always the HST - super cropping for that girl that just has to be whipped into shape :naughtystep:

There are other methods like undersized pots but you need expert fertigation skills to keep a plant healthy and it does not always work.

Indoor growing can have many challenges height is one of them.

I have always taken the breeders #s as perfect environment, & not topped, just left to grow as she'd like. That should be the maximum overall height.

hello. thanks for the advice. yes, im growing in a 4ft high tent. so it will get tight fast and trying to plan for my grow. trellis net could work well with supercroping ...as needed like you suggest.

for sure just tricky to know if they assume we are training or not when they make these specs available. helpful tho and they cant know everyone grow style

What i usually do is scrog my plants and that reduces the height. I also search for that strain and see how others have grown. Aswell I do take consideration on advertised size since I grow in 5 gallon pots (pot size could also affect overall size)
