I posted a similar thread like this about almost a month ago on the new grower channel, but I want to post a closely similar one here just so I can get an organic growers advice and verify if I'm doing this right.

I am growing 2 zkittles growing in 3 gallon containers of fox farm ocean soil. I water them with distilled water. As you may know, fox farm ocean soil only provides nutrients to the plant for its first 4 to 5 weeks after sprout, at least from my experience. What I want to do is replenish nutrients in the soil so my plants dont get nutrient deficiencies as a lack of nutrients.

Now I have watched mr Canucks videos for organic auroflowering, because he is canadian he uses gaia green all purpose 444 and bloom 294, he pre mixes them into the coco medium and then after 4 to 5 weeks he top dressed them by adding 2 tablespoons per gallon of dry amendments by going basically in 3 tablespoons of all purpose and 3 tablespoons of bloom. I am american and I am using dr earth all purpose and bloom which are identical in npk (in bloom the dr earths nitrigen is 3).

After the 3rd or 4th week, would you recommend that I do 3 tablespoons of all purpose and 3 tablespoons of flower girl, just like mr canuck did even though his is coco and mine is ff ocean soil?

The reason I sort am making a new post on this channel is because I want to hear from people who have used these dr earth dry amendments on their soil so I am doing this right and not burn or kill my plants.

This is kind of an old thread, but what did you end up doing? I ask because I too am using FFOF/SF & flower girl. This is my first grow, but what I've learned already, is the girls will tell you when they are hungry. Each plant is going to be different. One, in a 2L soda bottle grow, started loosing her vibrant green at 3-1/2 weeks. Top dressing and a tea, she was back to back her green self.
A dinafem white cheese, in a 2gln pot, started to fade at 3 weeks. Top dress & tea, she was looking good. Red Poison in another 2gal, didn't' need anything until 4 weeks.

I think part of the reason I had to top dress early, is I was overwatering. I'd do 20-30% runoff, every 3 days or so. So much that they'd droop for a couple hours after I'd water. Took me a couple weeks to realize that shouldn't happen, and start watering less. I think I washed all the nutrients in the soil away. For the 2L bottle grow, I think it just lack of soil volume. Less soil = less nutrients in it for the plant, so had to supplement.
Just my two thoughts.
