Is it true that trichomes continue to go through life cycle during drying and curing? For example a cloudy trichome can turn amber?

I've read that heat and light primarily break down THC to CBN. So if you over decarb you can have that happen for example.

So my dumb question is if you do harvest early can you still have the trichomes go through the cycle to get what you want just at the expense of terpenes potentially and yield?

Not that I would do that just trying to get better understanding of things.

So, are you asking can you harvest early and sit on it till it matures and get the same as if it was grown normally?

Honestly not sure exactly what I'm asking, trying to get more general understanding.

As for early timing let's assume 60% clear and 40% cloudy.

I guess a more specific question would be is there a point at which a trichome has what it needs to go through the stages assuming right conditions after harvest?

Disclaimer *I do understand harvesting early is never ideal or good idea.

I appreciate the question, but I do not have an answer sorry. The best answer I can give is test it out for yourself. Sometimes that's the best way to find out for sure.

Thanks for the reply, will definitely test myself. Should be easy enough since lower buds are likely in this scenario when people harvest all at once.

if you troll through some of frenchy cannoli or bubble mans videos you will learn alot about trichome development again i cant really answer your question but i do know that the trichome heads size will be much smaller if you harvest early the longer you wait the trichome head will swell up you can really see this when your doing bubble hash if you have taken your plants to early you will have much more in your 25 micron than in your 73micron
