I have an AK47 that is nearing it’s end. This was my first plant and so many mistakes were made. Long story short the plant stopped growing for three weeks around 2nd week. I corrected and now it’s near harvest. The pistols are brown, fan leaves are gone, trichomes of the main color were turning amber. 4 days ago I clipped it and it’s drying nicely. I had to cut a side limb when I dropped something sheering it off.
The rest of the plant has only an occasional amber trichome. Is this common for the top to be ready but not the rest? How long is the rest usually behind?

Tops usually finish first, could be another 2 weeks easy for the rest to finish.

Your plant looks as if the end is near either way. With all the sugar leaves dying, the buds will start degrading next. Due to your issues early in the grow, which probably never got sorted out, you may have to cut it all down earlier than you want.

It's good you've noticed the maturity difference in parts of your plant...that usually occurs to plants that have the christmas tree shape or not Scrooged or topped, but also due to light penetration.
Sometimes I'll harvest a particular plant at different times just for the difference in effect that is so evident in certain strains...I'm always after the pain killing shit...

Yeah it was a lot of mistakes, biggest being my well PH 8.5 and initial light stretching. Fortunately I've corrected the PH and Light (3x1000/100 Led panels). I'm getting a water test soon to see what is in the well water. I bring the PH down now to 6.4-6.5 and subsequent plants have been doing much better.
Thank you.

With the top cola and the lower branch that I shear off when I dropped the light I'm curious to see the different effects. For the most part I like a semi couch lock high vs an energetic high. Friend gave me some stuff a few weeks back and I'm like girl that is breakfast weed lol. I was cleaning my house at 8pm lol
Thank you.

Ahhhhh, well water. That would be a great idea to get your well water tested. That could really help narrow down your issues. You should try to do that before your next grow if possible.

:goodluck: :headbang:

that's awesome you got them that big after such a stall so early, well done. I just cut off what looks ready. sometimes you will think a bud is finished growing, next thing you know it's cover in white hairs again, and getting bigger.
