I have a Haze XL autoflower on its 8th week today. I flushed her soil today. Her trichomes are turning cloudy and it says 70 to 80 days flowering time. Also this is a first time grow for me. I was wondering if I flushed to early or should wait?

@Rickd92512 :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome: I have been doing this a long time and I still ask myself that very question with every plant . I use a Jeweler's loupe to look at the trichomes to try to determine when to harvest.

You may or not be a bit early with the flush so just feed some molasses. I don't flush (patato, patoto). Nice plants.

This might help and :goodluck:.

I was looking with a jeweler's loupe and there cloudy but she seems to be producing more white pistils. Some of the buds seem like there not done. Also that's a whole other issue was if flushing really makes a difference. I have a lsd-25 auto I started right behind her and was thinking if I should flush or not.

It is always a tough call, but for most new growers probably better to wait a few more days. They really add weight at the end days.

I grow hydro and I don't flush per se but I do let the nutrients ramp down not as a flush but no sense in spending the nutes they are not needed. I do add some molasses at the end. I am rambling :haha:

We all know how tough it is the last few days ....Being a very conservative feeder (BBLM medium), then ramp down but I'm a no flusher. I like watching the little "pod" like nodules below the buds swell up....Good indicator of maturity. They'll swell and ooze fire.

I like lookin' under my ladies dresses. You can correlate the change "down there" to your preferred ....um...chop time. And usually matches tric timing. And something you can easily see without a scope. Those pods are filling with stuff just to feed a seed which will be there if your plant got pollinated...I like letting a plant or two's nodules burst and ooze...which usually will be a knock you on your ass type.

I haven't seen this tip! Thanks!

It is a little early if you're going take them the full 80 days...most people do a 2 week or 3 week flush depending on personal preference. For a proper flush feed 3x the pot size of straight water. You are going to want a shop vac to suck up the extra water that runs off.
