Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone here has experienced this problem with their Hanna combo meter. So today I went to check the PPM on my hydro buckets and it wouldn't stabilize, bouncing all over the place. It has been working up til today. I went to recalibrate the pH and PPM. The pH calibrated just find. When I tried to calibrate the PPM it wouldn't properly calibrate and it was bouncing all over the place just like before checking my buckets. All my solution still has good dates on them as well. Only thing I have changed is I started storing the meter in the Hanna storage solution, previously I only stored in well water. So I'm leaning towards that had something to do with, somehow.

well i don't have the ppm/ph combo. i do have the waterproof hanna ph/temp. i bought it 10 days ago. funny you should post this jackal...my waterproof hanna tester is now waterlogged, and been returned. got a like for it. funny thing is, i'm waiting on my oakton ph10 to come back from oakton for it's under 6 month failure...Uuggghhhhh

Nothing but problems huh Buddy?

Sitting here thinking, my pH electrode did the same thing a while ago and I had to buy a new electrode. After soaking it in the Hanna cleaning solution. WTF? Is this stuff death juice haha. No more storage and cleaning solution! I don't think the PPM is replaceable like the pH electrode. I might have to give them a call tomorrow.

I've not had any problems like that and I've been storing mine in the solution for the past couple months since I changed the electrode. Yes, I would give Hanna a call. They were great when I talked to them about mine.

I'm getting full range ph strips. Don't trust my meter anymore. I going to get a nice ec meter when I fire the DWC's back up. I mean rwdc. Excuse me.

jackal i had this problem about 3 months into having the hannah combo meter...i was storing it in the hannah storage solution. I talked to my hydro guy and he told me to store it in the calibration solution and not the storage solution. As soon as i made the switch, i re- calibrated my meter and it hasn't had that problem since.

Thanks for the feedback guys and gals.

Spels, do you mean the ec solution or pH solution?

the pink stuff...i think its the ph 4.0 is what it's stored in now...they guy at my hydro shop hooked me up with a little bottle after i told him my complaints and it's been fine ever since. also, your hanna should come with a warranty no? i thought for some reason they did...

Thanks I will give it a try. I'm not sure if I'm still under warranty or not. I've had it close to 2 years now give or take.
