Guess on seed production

So I'm new to auto flowering cannabis, I think I want to switch over, but don't like buying seeds and having them shipped to my house. If I had two healthy Ak47 autos under a 600w led in a 2x2x4 tent. Using AN nutes, in Coco and air pots.
If I use the colloidal silver method on the top cola of one of the girls, how many seeds could I expect when they are done? I know there could be other variables.
I'm just looking for your personal guess. 50-100, 250-1000? I literally have no idea. If I can get at least 50 seeds I'll be happy.

@Snib247 Welcome to AFN. To get someone’s attention put the at-mark @ in front of their AFN name like I did for you. @archie gemmill will be tagging you with some important AFN information.

That is kinda like asking how long is a rope? First of all are the ak47s you are growing already Autos? If not you are not going to get autos. If they are then you need to start the colloidal silver before any flowering has started. Then the branch that you have forced to flower male must be kept isolated from the rest of the other plants as it ripens or all of your other colas will be seeded. I got 60 seeds off of one cola that I pollinated. I did not use the biggest colas just side branches. The germination rate was about 65%. I may not have let them ripen long enough. They need at least 6 weeks from pollination and I was in too big of a hurry and only waited about 5.

@Mañ'O'Green thanks for the help! I will be buying autoflowering strains. I was thinking Ak47 or girl scout cookies. I am not a very gentle or careful person, I'm not sure I could carefully collect and re apply pollen to only one branch.
I was just going to do the whole tent and get as many seeds as I can at once.

Ok then two full plants = hundreds and hundreds of seeds. Research your strains well and make sure that there is not a tendency to hermie in the line as that trait seems to be somewhat dominant and is exaggerated by self pollination.

Do you know how long a seed will stay viable kept in the refrigerator, in a container that doesn't let light in? 2-3 years?

Keeping moisture away from your seeds is more important than keeping them cold. A guy on another forum successfully germinated 45 year old seeds.

Im by no means an expert but i find with breeding you can have a clear and simple mental image of how things will work, not! When reality hits it's a different story so you have to be flexible and ready with plan B. I find it too much trouble to do 1 branch wit CS. I do the whole plant. I make my cs, as stated start early when sex is just starting to show. Spray several times a day, 5,6, times. Or make it easy and search around for regular seed to breed with your chosen strain, then you can back cross to your favorite to bring out more of the original traits. I did and now have more seeds then I could use in my life, who knows what treasures I've created maybe a Canibus cup winner or a real weaner. Congradulations your now a pollen chucker.
