What is the coldest temp anyone has grown in? Was it it good quality?

thanks.

The cold temps hurt the potency of the plant. That's why people are looking for purple dominate strains now instead of strains with no purple and letting temps get down so low. I use to let them get about 62 degrees F but I don't suggest lower than 55 degrees F!

my pheno plants regularly get down to the 60 degree area.with that said, they never got potent until I got a free auto seed from sweet seeds ,grown same time as the pheno and it turned out awesome!now im only gonna grow auto's

Most of the time in the greenhouse it was way above 70, but at night it got below 50f (10c) a few times and once or twice in the low forties. The dragons came out a real crystally, and everything else grew as it should, maybe things stretched a little more than usual (non auto's), but as of yet I have not smoked any. I suppose they will be awesome, cuz they look liket it. Also to note, earlier in the stages, the auto's had good temps even at night.

Not professing to know anything, just observing what I went through the last few months or so.

Cannabis can take the temp drops and most strains can even tolerate light frost. The key is root temps. Once they fall into the 50s and stay there the plants will basically stop growing. The uptake of phosphorus is inhibited which is what causes the purple colors to come out. I've left plants overwinter on the window sill in the garage. Temps have gotten below freezing on occasion but generally stay in the mid 30s to maybe the low 50s during the day. The plants didn't die, but they didn't grow either until around the end of March when the temps started to rise and the days started getting longer. The smoke I got from those plants was certainly a lot less potent that what I would get from a normal grow.

What about setting your pots on a heat tape and insulating them? put the heat tape on a timer and keep things from getting too warm. I bet that would do the trick, and heat tapes don't use much power.

Because of the location of my garden my temp range is 55-70....usually 65. The smoke was good, I wouldn't say great but it was my first grow and temperature wasn't the only issue. But I got over 1.5 oz a plant (I didnt know they were autos and topped them.....wow was that a mistake)

When the cold hit, my flower room was in the 60 degree range for a few weeks until I was able to buy 2 600w HPS with open reflectors to warm things up (before then, I was rocking 2 GN led's and a thousie in a cool tube) now the ladies are in the mid 70's in the light period, much more ideal, but I did the last several weeks of flower on my Kandy Kush in 50 degree nights, 60 degree days, and while it took a 9 week strain 76 days to finish, I have to say, if the potency was lowered by that, I'd really like to try it grown in warmer temps, because as it is, it's some of the best smoke I've ever grown.

:stylez rasta smoke:

Nights went down to 40 F..... no way autos liked it they are going into flower and under a foot tall probably won’t be able to support much bud
