Hi guys, in the past few years I've tried going in my tent (dr60) with CFL's both in my garage and loft. Neither was successful.

I'm abandoning the tent as the fan is just too loud and the tent not discreet enough for the house.

I've designed a grow box that I'm going to get my friend to build as I'm clueless and he's a joiner.

For the exhaust fan I am going with this unless anyone has a better solution?

For the circulation and intake fans, this one...

Now, the idea is to enclose a small 150x150mm box inside the bigger box with the top open, ona gel tub sat on netting and the exhaust fan blowing out through this box.

So, are there better fans to be using and how will I power them?
And what LED light do you recommend for a space of 0.2 square meters or 2.2 square foot?

Pic for reference. Any improvement ideas welcome. It's only for 1 autoflower and although I'd like to get rid of most of the smell (hence the ONA gel), noise if the most important factor. I might add a diy carbon filter at a later stage if needed. I will also have a 4 litre ONA gel pot in the room outside of box with the fan they sell on top.

ONA products are powerful stuff and they work incredibly well at neutralizing smells in your living areas, but I wanted to warn you about one thing…
Never let ONA products share air with your flowering cannabis plants! ONA products are so strong they do not have to physically touch your buds in order to have a permanent effect on their taste and smell. If air which has been treated with ONA Gel comes in contact with your buds for a significant amount of time, the treated air will begin to permanently change the taste/smell of the buds (giving them a perfume-like smell and taste). This happens even if the ONA and cannabis buds never touch each other. If ONA Gel is kept in your tent or grow room throughout the entire flowering stage, the effect can be overwhelming and buds may smell like ONA Gel or taste like perfume or chemicals after harvest. This is because the ONA gel actually binds to smells instead of covering them up. Smells are permantly changed when they come in contact with ONA products. The perfume smell seems to actually become “attached” to your buds, and there’s no way to get rid of it at that point, even after months of curing.

Thanks mate. I understand that which is why it will be in its own enclosed little box, open at the top into living room with exhaust fan drawing air from underneath out of the grow box.

Do you have any recommendations on powerful but silent pc fans other than those I've listed? Or know how to power them? Phone charger maybe? What I really need is a recommendation for a decent LED light as cheap as possible. Light will be on 24/7 as will the fans. Box to be made from 9mm hardwood plywood.

Hey man,
I'm actually in the process of designing my own grow box as well. I'm going to be using two AC Infinity fans that come with plugs and a speed controller for exhaust and 2 AC Infinity fans with plugs and speed controller for active intake. For odor control I'm going to use sheets of HEPA charcoal filters. And just tape them over top of the exhaust. This is how Dealzer grow boxes deal with odor and it seems to work. As for lighting I'll be using 4 Solstrip X2's for each chamber with 2 lights on the top and 2 lights on the side walls. The box dimensions will be 2 ft by 2 feet by 6ft, each chamber will be 2' x 2' x 3'. Hopefully this helps you in some way.

Funny. I'm also designing a 12x4x6.5 multi chamber cab

What I have decided as far as odor control is a combination. A passive intake register that is 12x12 with a some way to have a filter on the outside with carbon filter padding cut to size before the exhaust and an ACinfinity Airtitan T7 exhaust fan. The exhaust fan has a controller that monitors temp/humidity and adjust fan speed based on the aforementioned parameters.

For your intake hole you need it to be 2-3 times larger than your exhaust.

I'm thinking for the carbon filter you could cut a piece that covers the whole fan and use like swiveling clamps or something to hold it in place in the intake and behind the exhaust.

For your light I would recommend an Autocob. And done.

Here is my drawing. Can't draw for crap though.

Mine is basically made for a triple flood and drain system that has two dedicated flowering chambers and a vertical mother Chamber. I will be doing mine with black melamine board in 3/4 and covering the inside with Orcafilm for higher reflectivity.

What type of medium will you be growing in? It's such a small box idk how interested or necessary automation would be for you. You'll be relying on the ambient conditions of your home for the most part with little room to add appliances.

I'd probably mount a power strip on the inside or out to connect you light/exhaust/etc.

I have some blog pages in the link below titled Upgrading that talks about what I will be doing for my project.
