Hi Everyone,
First time poster here. I have done two successful grows back in the day using a 400w mh/hps setup. This time around I got myself a 4x4x5' grow tent, one duct exhaust fan, a blackstar 240w led, and a aircooled 250w mh(for veg) and a hps bulb for flowering. I got some very good genetics coming from attitude that I'm going to try a few autoflowering ones actually three strains, and some fem seeds. For my first round though I want to do the autoflowering ones... Will both lights in that size tent be sufficient? I want to do a soil grow... How many plants do you think I could reasonably put in that size setup... Do I have enough lighting? I got the lighthouse grow tent... How big of a pot should I use per plant? Any suggestions? Looking forward to my time here and once all is up and running I'll start a grow journal.

Will both lights in that size tent be sufficient?

They should be more than sufficient together. The heat from the 250wHID might be a challenge in a tent that size, IMO, but you should be able to do it with the vented hood.

How many plants do you think I could reasonably put in that size setup... Do I have enough lighting? I got the lighthouse grow tent... How big of a pot should I use per plant?

With that set-up, I would use 3 gal pots (I prefer fabric or air-pots) with one plant per pot. If the grow is relatively trouble-free, you should get around 20-30 grams+ per plant.

Edit: Also just realized I ordered the 4x4x7 tent...
The HID light will have an aircooled reflector... Which I'm hoping will be enough to keep the tent cool.. I'm figuring the reflector fan should move air around in the tent and was thinking that the duct exhaust fan would be enough to move the stale air out... Though I'm not sure exactly I should be running the exhaust fan? The entire time the light is on? Or should it be in smaller intervals say, 15min Once an hour? Was thinking I could accomplish that with a analog timer... What do you guys think?

I think you're going to find you will need to run it all the time unless you are using the HID as a source of heat, due to outside temps.

For the amount of $$$ spent I have sufficient equipment for a successful grow... I do remember from last grow to leave the plants alone and not mess with things on a daily basis(I was new at the time and was also doing soil and hydro) had
Much better luck with the soil plants... That's why I'm going the root of
soil this time for my medium... How do think this setup will be? Can't wait for my beans to show up ...
How long have people that used attitude and paid with cc did it take for seeds to come to US?

It took my seeds just about a week and a half (not counting sat & sun) for the seeds to arrive in Michigan. So its not to bad. I hope you don't have to wait to long! And the best of luck with your grow!!

Well I got my tent last night, my led (which I've yet to unpack) than the cooled 250watt hid... Unfortunately due to ups's VERY BAD HANDLING the hood to my hid was smashed to smetherines! thankfully i did spend the little xtra and brought from US company that so far has shown nothing but INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... No doubt in my mind they'll make
Good on the hood... The bulbs were wrapped up as well hope those are not broken as well... Well about aprox 1 weeks my beans will be here... Can not wait to get the show on the rd!

Update: vendor was incredible got new hood next day! Now I have an operational hood and a hood with a smashed glass(should I dump that one? They didn't want it back and as of now no use for it.) I did upgrade my HID to a 400watt do am hoping to get good results with a blackstar 240 and than the 400watt hid... These are both going into a lighthouse 4x4x7 grow tent... 40watt per square ft is what I figured sound good enough for a good yield?

Hi,,the size of tent u have is 4x4 feet? If so ur 400watt should be good enough on its own,,im usin 600watt adjusta wing in my 1.2mx1.2mx2m high tent & it is ok. I want to change my light to LED & get rid of my HPS light altogether. I would also recomend 11lt square pots. The most iv growin in my tent is 9 plants at any1 time. Hope it helps & u didnt wait to long for ur seeds its a shame www.dutch-passion.nl dont ship to the US,as they ar really good. Well good luck:smokebuds:
