New Grower Greetings, finally learned how to post a thread

I'm relatively new to the site and to autos, years of cloning photos, anyway nice to meet everyone, I have asked a few questions on other threads and gotten good responses, ty. If I may I need a little clarification.

1. It's best to cross two different auto strains to get my own auto seeds, correct?

2. If I self an auto by forcing a male flower, I take those seeds and grow them picking the best baby girls and pollinate them with the original selfed pollen, I repeat the process to the 7th generation and my end results should be seeds fairly uniform and having the traits of the original mother, is this correct?
