Thinking about trying the scrog tecnique on her.......
Any suggestions or fans of optimism in the house ?

I'm a fan of optimism and look forward to seeing this one through! The Columbian Santa Marta is one of those strains that everyone has heard of but few have tried, so I'll be waiting anxiously to hear how she is. All the best with her! She should be wanting some nutes any day now. If you need any DWC pointers ask Grey Bear. He grows monsters.

Thanks Gbd - happy to have ya along for the ride ! Thanks for the tip as well. Judging by his grows, Grey Bear must really have things dialed in :stylez rasta smoke:

Columbian Santa Marta..... sounds tasty ! Hope the Coffee aroma gets nice and strong with her, sounds like a fun exotic to break out for the friends and family!

Short Stuff Seeds - Sweet Coffee Ryder DWC - Day 20

IMG_20150421_085346.jpg Not much to see. Been under the HPS for 4 days now. Roots look better than the plant at this point. She's getting nutes now, ph holding at 6.5 - Res temp 70f RH49%

Sinking ship , someone throw me a ring please!

21 days old and she has pistils already. I am worried. It's not stretching at all. Throughout its infancy I kept burying the stalk in perlite, so it is actually a little taller than it appears. It hasn't stretched at all. Any1 ever seen anything like this? Not that I'm above reproach or making mistakes - but I think this must be a genetic issue? This would be my fifth Auto that I germed and grew through veg to flower and the only time anything like this happened. Shit one of my Autos is almost 4 feet tall.....

Well, chalk this up as a fail. It's dead and done, and so are my DWC attempts until I can find Hydrocorn and FoxFarm nutes. Thanks to the couple subs that were following along. Wish it had gone better. Third times the charm ! Now I regret chopping the photos I had in this DWC. At the time I was so amazed by the agressive and vigirous growth of the Autoflowers, I had to plug one in and see what happened. I don't think the perlite was a good medium, nor was the rooting pellet thing I used, and ultimately when I moved it under the HPS, despite it being plenty high, it really coked the leaves. I could have salvaged something and nursed it along but knowing now how badly they can be stunted from stress, I'd rather start over.
