I was wondering if anyone uses beneficials on seedlings or very young plants. Its says Use for all applications but i'm not sure when i should start

I used An's Piranha fungal colonizer for the roots. The ladies seem to love it. This is my first grow, so I have no comparison. I know that i can add Piranha from the seedling stage with no problems. Do use a microbial colonizer.

i sprinkle some in the hole then drop the seed in after it has popped and haven't seen any problems

Hey thanks for the info AW, An's Piranha is basically the exact same thing as Great White.

Do you have a certain dose you personally add, or do you just do it by the directions and than apply?

Hey sniper 420 thanks... Glad you dropped in... will be adding some right now :D

When I potted up some seedlings that was in Rapid Rooters, I applied Great White straight on the tap and sprinkled some in the bottom of the hole I was planting in. The sooner the better with that stuff.

I use Pro Mix with MycoRise, which is a mycorrhizal fungi so my seedlings are grown with it. But it takes about 2 weeks for them to be activated so it doesn't start to interact with the roots until then. The fungi feed on organic matter and a lot of potting soils don't have a lot, Pro Mix has almost none, so I like to give them a mild feeding at around 2 weeks. I also add some Diamond Nectar humic acid which also helps activate and feed them.

I use Humboldt Nutrients Myco Madness. Soon as I get a decent tail I sprinkle some in the plug before I drop it in there - about a pinch - then after covering it with dirt I water it lightly to activate the Myco. They won't activate until they hit water. After that I use 1/2 a teaspoon in a gallon of water once a week (you can mix with the nutes - if I do i put it in my mixture just before watering. I don't let it sit with the mixture overnight) or just with pH'd water. I don't use it the last 3 weeks of my grows. Also If you transplant or tier you can sprinkle the area where the roots will be with it and water it, then transplant. I have had phenomenal growth with my seedlings since using it. They are literally triple the size if not more at 20 days than my first 2 grows without Myco. I swear by it!! HN MM not only has beneficial myco it has trichoderma and other beneficial bacteria. However, I have heard great things about Great White. It's more expensive than the MM I've seen in catalogs. 4 oz tub of MM runs about $18 on eBay. Good stuff MSH! I'm sure you will LOVE IT!

Start using it right away and you will see instant results I promise you. It's not a nutrient so it won't burn your seedlings either.

great white has 15 different species of mycorrhizal fungi, 19 different species of beneficial bacteria,2 species of trichoderma, plant vitamins and glycine all in one and they give 1 oz free samples

Thanks Guys, I just applied some Great White with great joy. I hope I have my seeds breaking the surface tomorrow

Yes, Indeed Sniper420... if anyone wants some go to www.plant-success.com and go to contacts and ask the crew for a sample

+1 with thai one early application is all that needed and it saves you money. also having food for the myco to feed on with no npk can help such as rockdust/seaweed extract/molasses after potting up
