I have some sour60 seeds I got from a friend. These are some of the hardest beans to germinate! I never have had problems, I tried soaking them in a glass of water, tried paper towel also... 1 out of 4 popped. I think I will try to squeeze one and get it to break out and another maybe sand a little....... wish me luck.

If soaking seeds, don't soak for more than 24 hours, as you can drown the seeds and the inside will go mushy.

You can try "Scarifying" the seeds (which means to scratch) by putting some sand paper in a match box and shake.

This helps remove the seed coat and make it easier foe the water to penetrate.

Another method is to scrape the seem of the seed with a scalpel blade which make it easier for the seed to break the seed shell as well as absorb water.

Temperature plays an important part in germination, I normally germinate at 22.5C and use a Rooit digital thermostat controller for my heated propagator. The thermostat cost approx £30.

You can of course find a nice warm spot like an airing cupboard or another popular choice is on a router/modem or sky box.

Becareful if you have water near electrics as there is the potential for electric shock etc.

Improperly stored seeds will have a lesser chance of sprouting and this increases with age.

Immature seeds are also less likely to sprout and are often pale in colour.

When soaking seeds any that haven't sunk to germinate as they are most likely hollow immature seeds.

There was one that floated, bye. Just never had such germinating problems. I am new to autoflowers but have germinated a lot of photo type...... thought maybe all you guys were hiding a secret from me LOL

There is a Mdanzig forum over @ ICMag and Mdanzig posts in it.
I was also reading a post on ICMag about Sour60's not germing.
If you are new to auto's don't give up there are some amazing auto's out there from breeder such as "Mephisto" , "Sweet Seeds" & "Dutch Passion".
Of course there are many other auto breeders but the three companies I posted are highly reputable and know for good customer service to boot.
Seed sellers who are reputable include "Seedsman", "Herbies" & "Alibongo" again there are many seller you can buy from but the companies I posted are known for good service.
If you want to buy Mephisto Seeds, then the best thing to do is order direct from "Mephisto Genetics" and us the 10% discount for AFN members Code is - "afnmemberdiscount10" at the check out.
Have a look round the forums and see what people are growing, see something you like , then get yourself some beans and we'll be waiting for your grow :D and lend a hand if you need it.
peace

I only soak in wet paper towel for 8-12 hours then plant directly in pre watered soil. 3-5 days and bingo. That is what works for me, I like it simple. But I am sure that your method is fine, maybe the seeds are bad. I have heard of it taking up to 10 days to germinate though. Good luck!
