Game Changer - Mars Hydro SP 3000

Mars Hydro Commerical SP3000 LED Grow light-01.jpg

When we talk about Mars Hydro, the first impression might be: it is a middle high level brand, very cost-efficient for most personal growers,
very great for veg, but bloom not that good. Personal only, not for commercial. etc. But this time, we are releasing our new product SP 3000, which might overthrow the previous thoughts.

Why would we so confident?

- Sumsung lm301b & Osram 660nm leds
Unlike our previous grow light series, this time we choose only the high-end ones. Samsung lm301b is known to be one of the best grow light chips in the market, higher light output, less heat, and longer lifespan, also Osram's red LEDs are known in the grow chip market as well. Fluence, HLG, Next Mega, etc are all using the same kind. These chips are great, but expensive as well. So from the market, you might found most of the grow lights with these chips are not cheap. For example, Fluence Vyper2x is over 700USD with around 700pcs LEDs, HLG 550 is over 800USD with around 1100pcs LEDs which calculated to be around 0.7USD~1USD/pc; On our SP 3000, we use 960pcs LEDs, which cost only 0.41USD/pc. Why 960pcs? Cause before we decide to make this light, we did a lot of tests, and we found when the chips are at 0.3w, they actually output the most while saving more energy. To make the light at 300w, we need 960pcs of chips. The final PPFD of this light is over 2.7umol/j. Helping growers saving real energy, and replacing 600w HPS without any problem. Will 960pcs chips making too much heat? We also did a test, compared with our SP 250
(which has over 700pcs Epistar chips on the same size board, but 230w) We found that the heat produced by SP 3000 is actually lower than SP 250, which only increases less than 3C degrees for the temperature of the tent.

- Real Sunlike Full Spectrum
Spectrum is the key to plants growth. Before we finally decide to use this spectrum, we have done a lot of experiments. The blue spectrum which from 440~460nm are really great for plant growth, while 650~660nm are great for plants flowering. This is known to all, but the hardest thing is to find the right ratio to mix all the light so that we can get the perfect spectrum. This time, we add more warm white and also red chips, UV and IR are also there, and the spectrum is
just perfect for plants growing. Mars Hydro will no longer be the led grow light brand who can produce only "veg" light, but also the real great full spectrum light for both personal and commercial growers!

- Easily Controlled Dimming Function
To help growers use the light more conveniently, we do upgrade on our SP 3000 with the dimmer function. Growers now can control the light intensity very easily without adjusting the hanging height. But how would just one dimming function differ Mars Hydro from other brands? We add the dimming function to be connectable. If growers buy more than one light, they can actually connect up to 15 lights together to control them on one lamp. Unlike other grow light brand, which might need to buy an additional controller, and might cost around 800USD, we save this cost for you. Now from personal growers to commercial growers, SP 3000 can be all suitable. Using the least money, growing the best plants.

Other than the above features, we also remain the great features on our SP 250 as thick aluminum heatsink design to help heat dissipate, IP 65, waterproof to help using in the high humidity growing conditions. 2-meter long extension cords to help growers remove the driver away from the light. What is more, you will find our Mars Hydro Stickers in every light package.

Do you want this awesome light to help you grow big? We will officially release SP3000 on Mars Hydro web, www.mars-hydro.com 10th June at 12:00am (PST), Stay tuned! :woohoo:

I have a standard 4ftx4ft tent: is one of these enough to flower the whole tent?
Im not seeing any foot print info..?

I discounted the TS models as I'd need 4 units for my 'smallish' tent which became too costly (especially compared to alt brands) so at 400 (for me - £'s) is maxing out my budget, but if I need 2 I may as well go elsewhere..?!?

This shows as 2x5 Bloom footprint on their charts. 2 of the TSL2000 (2x4 coverage) would give you an exact 4x4 Bloom coverage

Yeah, figured as much.
Seams like its a missed opportunity by MH, as who seriously has a 5ft space?
Nobody I've ever spoken to.
All they have done is got an over powered sp250 which is only as good as its smallest output (2ft!)!?
The avg size of spaces IMO is generally in blocks of 2ft. Making a 5ft footprint almost pointless.
Since as I suspected, I'd need two for my 4x4 (same as other SP units) the cost means this would now be up against the likes of high end LED units.
So for me £800 to light my tent for two sp units or £600 for tsl units... ?!?!

Still at least £200 too much IMHO.

Roughly this for a TSL2000

259.99 United States Dollar equals
204.08 Pound sterling

259.99 United States Dollar equals

When a price is quoted in dollars we in UK take that number as £'s. By the time companies offset exchange, apply warranty stats etc it is same.
E.g.
399.99usd
So by the time it makes its way to Britain it'll be £399.99 which makes it £800 for my standard tent: a big "Hell No"!!! :face:

A Dollar price does not always mean that the product is based in the USA. Mars have many warehouses throughout, including a UK one.The last TS600 I bought was shipped UK to UK and I paid exactly £62.09 for it. It is now £62.87 based on today's rate. If the price is charged in Dollars you may receive a nominal surcharge from your bank, usually no more than 2% but often less. I can't remember but I think this charged in Pounds.
