I've only had a Sour Caramel in dirt for about week, and I have tiny flying bugs. This is also the first time I've used Roots. I didn't have the problem in my last two grows, it's got to be the Roots.

Not loving Roots at the moment.

Are you saying Roots Foods..? The best thing you can do is get yourself some "Gnatrol" , a small pkg from Amazon is only $2.85 and I cannot say enough about how well this stuff works. I just ran out and need more.. mix in a tsp with a gal water and walla... kills em all, after a week hit them again and they should be gone.. stuff is like magic killing them gnats..

Organic foods can have stronger smells to them and thus attracting the bugs to it.. seal up that room and caulk them cracks up man.. lol. but really, most of us deal with them at one point in our grows, some worse then others like me who lives in a swamp.. plus I recycle soil 3-4x's.. eggs get passed along.. but the Roots Organic Food and Soil to me is the best stuff on the market especially for Auto Flowering... I did an entire grow without adding any nutrients and they grew fine, just fine..

good luck man

No, just potting soil. The only thing I have added was a teeny tiny amount of Neptune's harvest seaweed extract.

Gnats! They're not a massive problem... I'm from England and we get a lot of them especially in soil not bought specifically for weed growing.

Apparently the posh stuff is steamed to kill the eggs, but the normal stuff (which I prefer) is a minefield for bugs. Fungus gnats are by far the easiest to get rid of.

There's a product called Gnat Off that works without upsetting the plants (sounds similar to the one suggested above), also, get some bright coloured sticky traps and lay them on the edge of the pot so they touch the soil/coco.

When you water, the adults jump out and land on the trap. It works. [emoji6]

Cheerz,

Vlad. [emoji111]️

Yeah, I can deal with them. A bit annoyed I got it from soil made for weed growing. And that the seedling got stressed.

I use a reservoir pot, so once things get going I only water from the bottom. Helps.

Love your handle, Vlad the Inhaler.

I was going to make a joke based on it, but they all sounded dirty.

I just watered it, sprinkled on some diatomaceous earth, and then put a sticky yellow card in there.

Hopefully that will do the trick.
