I started converting a deep freezer into a stealth cabinet, but never finished it; too many family health issues and a lotta other projects lately. I unscrewed the the molded door shelf and covered it with panda film. Its well insulated and has a very strong lock for a freezer. I believe this thing could sit outdoors during winter.

Any ideas or suggestions, equipment/mods to finish it?

I unplugged an xtra fridge to help offset electric costs while growing. I am thinking of doing the same. Mississ even mentioned it recently. I am thinking fan and filter in the freezer some drilling and cutting just need the time and a light. I havent searched yet but some creative growers on here.

:peace:

My mom has cancer and It'd be sweet if cannabis cured it. I unplugged a fridge and a few months later plugged it back up and it wouldn't work. I could make it a project too, but I haven't finished the freezer. I believe if using an HID system It'll have to be air cooled. It'd be nice to have a working fridge to control the heat. Indeed, there are some amazingly intelligent people on this site. I'm new to autoflowering genetics, but very eager to learn and grow in the knowledge.

Hey my friend -

I'm very sorry to hear about your Mom's diagnosis and wish the best for you. We've had some users here who had great results with cannabis helping their cance and chemo symptoms. I would go with an LED, probably a 4 spot like a GNMS004 or a Bysen SP110D-140W this would be more than enough for the area and you may even have to start the seeds in another cab under a CFL if you have less than 35" height top to bottom in the freezer.

We're here to help you out bro, be sure to start a journal when you start the grow in case anything pops up.

I apologize for the long delay replying to your post. My dad was also diagnosed with anal cancer, so I have two people plus myself to try and produce meds for. I've found what I believe is an excellent strain, but it requires 9-10 weeks flowering time. It's purple pain killer by med-man out of Canada; his genetics are elite from long hoarded strains. I wish to make an autoflowering version to grow in small places, so it must be crossed with the correct auto to start. It has so many quality attributes to enhance an auto that also works to kill pain.

I hope to use the fridge beginning in the fall, the lamps should keep it warm as it doesn't get too cold here. I would love to try the LED's but my budget has been screwed up, so I'm gonna try existing equipment. I'm gonna need a continuous supply for both parents, so I need to take advantage of all the space I have.
