I'm wondering what rate peeps are using when making insect frass tea. Also, what else do you put in with your frass? just thought I'd pick some brains and maybe get inspired to try something new.

I'm using KIS Insect Frass at a rate of 1/4 cup per gallon of RO water. I like to add a little bit of food in the form of either Molashish from Zen Products Grow or Desert Nectar Yucca From Elevation Organics. What about you?

I use about a tablespoon or two added right at the end.

I use a couple of the Tea Lab products including frass also the fish balls and the microbe inoculant. Also EWC and molasses

So, is the frass best added in the beginning of the brew or t the end? It's not a source of biology, is it? I'm assuming its more of a feed stock where the bacteria break down the chitin...is that correct? I'd like to start adding some to my teas but I'm not solid on when to add it.

I don't know either lol. I put in at the start just for simplicity...don't know if it's better or not?

I add it towards the end because the boogi brew dude recommended it and explains why on their site.It mixes well with just water and makes a great top dress too.My understanding is that it does contain lots of life in fact and high numbers of Protozoa specifically I think. That may be why you add at the end.Mix into your soil too.Protozoa consuming bacteria releases like %80 of the nutrients the bacteria contains.Nutrient cycling!
