I just found a seed from a small bud...not quite sure how that happened. Since it came from a feminized plant, will it be a female as well? I really just want to know if I can plant it. My last seed order was confiscated and I have nothing to plant at the moment so if there's a chance that this could grow to be a female, I'll get it in soil ASAP.

Thanks,

:peace: Lefty :peace:

From my understanding, it wont be a feminized seed unless you took extra steps to reverse a female plant to produce pollen to pollinate another female. Basically, sure you can try to germinate it but theres probably a 50:50 chance its male.

hey bud!
you can plant the seed. Make sure its a nice brown almost stripey colour first. If its green and looks quite soft and fragile there almost no point in trying. Just because the plant was a female doesnt mean it doesnt produce seeds. all female plants will produce seeds when pollinated by a male plant. feminised seeds refers to the plant its self being a female. Make sure you germinate it in a paper towel before putting it straight into soil too.
good luck!
ps: have you got any pics of the seed? i'll let you know if it looks good or not if you like?

This is the way my first grow ever happened. I had some seedy lemon haze and decided to try plant them. The only bitch about bag weed seeds is you dont know if the plant will turn out male or female. and you only find out towards the end of summer, if growing outdoors. If you're growing indoors, once the plant has got 4-5 branches take a clipping and make a clone and chuck it into a 12-12 light cycle. that way you'll be able to tell early if its male or female.
good luck an happy growing!

Thanks for the info...I'm new to growing and waaaaaaay far from developing any cloning skills. At this point I'll just toss it in a seedling soil (that's how I grow everything) and see how it does. Like I mentioned before, I have no other seeds right now so I might as well just go for it. Wish me luck!

if you want to increase your chances of it germinating, i'd use the method thats in the link i gave before. its not advanced or anything. just a really basic reliable way of germinating the seed. once the root pops out of the shell, put it in the soil with the white root pointing down... its all shown on the lonk.
good luck

how did it go?
