Flying spawns of Satan

So wanted to document some issues I've had with gnats! First off I didn't think I had to many. May of saw 2 or 3 within past month. Decided to switch layout of plants, under each pot was a colony with a full government and plans on concrete to take over my grows.

Immediately I took my shoe and squished all that i could. Went to store and bought full organic neem oil spray, I sprayed everything from dirt to walls. 3 days of that and two spray bottles of neem, no more gnats.

Next I will upload pics of damage from gnats.

Had a white chem pop up and die almost immediately also but no pics sorry.

literally saw a whole bunch right underneath the pots?!

I spotted a few in December in my cupboard - I think 4 or 5. I bought those sticky yellow cards and put them up, caught 2 gnats and haven’t seen another one in 2-3 weeks. I was going to treat with Neem oil but didn’t as they are yet to reappear. hopefully won’t regret it.

thanks for sharing mate.

You rang?
Oh wait, You were talking about gnats.
Nevermind.

If you catch em early, a thin layer of diomascus earth on the surface and rubbed around drainholes will shred the little shits. Use diomascus and then a thin layer of dirt so diomascus doesnt blow on your plants too much and dust 'em up. Worked well on my end, but i got gnats under control before they got out of hand.

3 days of neem and it killed hundreds though! I'm impressed for sure.

I've been watering with hydrogen peroxide. Kills the larvae in the soil and the adults die of old age. But you can't do that if your organic. It'll kill your soil microbes too.

Another added benefit is the roots love the oxygen as the peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen in the root zone.

Tried peroxide on one pot just to see. Soaked it three times with 50/50 peroxide tap. Let it dry real good then dropped a bean. It died immediately after coming to life.

I will also add that neem is safe in flower and works for spider mites, pm, and fungus. Tons of other uses also.

My little AvT started exploding in growth with better looking leaves by second day same with my 3 branch girl.
