Hello AFN
second question for the day.
Does it matter if a flush with normal water ph 6.8-7.3 my coco grow.
Why do I need to ph me water since I dont want my plant to uptake nutrients?
Thanks to all in advance. :hookah:

Hi! I don't think everyone does PH their water. I was reading throu master @TaNg 's feeding schedule and he doesn't PH!

Seems to be mixed from what I've read. But then, a lot of folk (particularly organic growers) don't flush at all from what I've read so it's mixed opinions even before you get to what water to use.

That being said, the general thought behind NOT PH adjusting the water is that since the whole point of adjusting is to get in the PH range that the plant best uptakes nutrients, and since the point of flushing is to stop giving it nutrients, it really doesn't matter if it's PH adjusted. So almost just that it's a waste of chems for something that won't make much difference type idea.

For me when using chem nutes I PH adjusted to flush because I wanted to keep giving the plant what it was used to water wise. Cut down on the shock I guess you could say. No real science to it, just what felt right to me. With my current organic soil and nutes, as with many organics, it says NOT to adjust my water to start with on the nutes instructions so I won't when it comes to flush time either.

EDIT: This all is assuming you're talking about flushing for harvest. Flushing for a cleanse in mid-grow type situation may be different and is something I haven't had to read up on yet (knock on wood).

I did the same as you, PH'd through the final cleanse in order for the plant to uptake everything possible. I think with my current grow, which will go to cleanse in a few days, I might just not adjust it and see what happens. or maybe adjust one and not the other and compare. That could be interesting...

I guess you re both right my friends, it will be more natural to ph water until the end, but I am sure I dont want extra chems in my buds I guess Ill do both starting with ph clean water and then directly from the tap/
Thanks alot guys.:greenthumb:
