New Grower First Time Growing Anything! Featuring Twisted Tree and Mephisto in Coco/Perlite

It’s fascinating watching these girls grow! Gave em all a haircut yesterday and they seem pretty happy about it today. Super cropped the tallest branches on the stomper just to give each branch a little more space to fill out when they start stacking weight. I thought they finished stretching, but guess not! I'm also lazy and I didn't want to raise the lights since the DLI on the tallest branches was over 50 - problem solved.

The LSD and Top Gun are still on the 5ml Foliage Pro schedule.

I upped the feed for the rest of the girls and now they’re taking:

2 ml/gal pro-tekt (silica)
2 ml/gal calmag
5 ml/gal foliage pro
1.25 ml/gal Mag-Pro
2.5 ml/gal Dyna-gro bloom
For a total of around 1.4-1.5 EC

I also forgot I had a bag of Mikro-Myco so I gave em all a little bit mixed in with their feed. *shrug*

Roots are coming out of the bag for both stomper and 3bogxmango. Is this a problem? I’ve been treating the reservoir with hydroguard in case of rot.

A little puzzled that the sour stomper grew 3+ inches in the past 2-3 days. I thought the stretch was over once flowers start to get fat? Not complaining - a welcome surprise for sure.

@420autoflower would you schwazz the stomper at this point or wait until she completely stops stretching? I did a half assed schwazz a few days ago thinking that she finished the stretch only for her to grow 3+ inches.

Not much is happening at the moment. At this point things are sort of on auto-pilot.

Sour stomper (bottom left) and 3bogxmango (top right) are being fed full on flower nutes at around 1.2-1.3 EC. They have also been topped, well the stomper was sorta fimm’ed. it’s top ended up just growing back but completely mangled and useless, but the rest of the branches suddenly went sorta crazy with growth and branches started growing unevenly. Stomper is approximately 22-23 inches tall. The 3bogxmango is about 20-21 inches tall.

The cookies (between the Top Gun and 3bearxmango) is definitely stunted but it was almost certainly my fault. It’s about 13-14 inches tall. Basically every newbie mistake you could make.

The LSD (top left) and Top Gun (bottom right)are being fed transition mix of the Foliage Pro and Bloom at around 1.3-1.4 EC. They haven’t been topped or trained, just moderate lollipopping. Top Gun is about 28 inches in height and the LSD is a little shorter than the 3bogxmango without the plant stand underneath it.

I’m liking the Dyna-gro lineup because after mixing everything together the PH comes out at 5.6. After I pour the nutes into the rez the PH drifts to a perfect 5.8-5.9.

Top Gun and LSD are continuing to impress me. They’ve each grown a few inches in height the past couple of days. The Top Gun was schwazzed 2 days ago and went from 27 inches to 30 inches since schwazzing. The LSD hasn’t been defoliated yet as its not as mature as the rest of the girls. I think the LSD still has a few days to go before I schwazz her.

The Sour Stomper is the star of the tent so far. She’s displaying a kaleidoscope of colors since the temps have dropped a little the past week from 77-79 to 70-73. Even her lowest buds are encrusted with trichomes.

Hard to capture just how frosty Sour Stomper is. These are two of the lowest bud sites on the stomper - neither are receiving any direct light and they're still coated in trichomes. The deep red lights aren't hitting these lowers so you can see the true color and the trichs more clearly. The smell is sort of like this sour grape cough syrup and sharp candy smell. To me, the smell is sweet in a candy or sugary sense rather than a fruity sweetness. There is definitely a distinct grape flavor coming through - again more of a grape candy rather than a fruity smell.

At this rate I don't think even the lowest buds are going to be tossed into the larf bin.

Not much to update other than plants are progressing nicely. I haven’t pulled out the loupe yet for the Sour Stomper. I think I’ll start checking around day 75-80. I had to purchase some bamboo stakes because the stomper was falling over from the weight of its buds!

Taken on day 67 stomper. Frost is unreal. but still no amber. Continues to pack on weight. Smells like grape candy and gas.

Top Gun day 61. Due to height differences she’s receiving more than 55 DLI but she doesn’t seem to mind.

Pic of top gun on day 57 or so. Very photogenic. She’s not been fussy and has been taking defoliation on the chin. She isn’t pungent or gassy but she gives off a pleasant nutty aroma in the background with a soft bubblegum smell in the front. Exactly as described by Atlas Seeds. Height is approx 35 inches.

Day 61 LSD. Approx 31-32 inches tall. Pungent with a capital P. Smells like Skunk. Smacks you in the face with a foul musky note and doesn't have any pretense of being sweet or fruity.

Getting harder and harder to describe the smells since everything sort of blends into each other. 3bogxmango still had a ripe, funky, mango syrup smell going on. I ended up pruning at least 10 lower branches from the 1st and 2nd nodes. I've been battling extremely high humidity and my humidifier can only do so much. It's really late in the game to be aggressively pruning at this stage, but I am paranoid about mold! The girl did not seem to mind.

Cookies is finally catchin up to the rest after seeming to have stalled for weeks. Incredibly sticky. Did not take defoliation well although I will not knock her for it. She suffered the most due to my mistakes. After what she’s been through I consider any smokeable material a successful harvest.

Chopped the sour stomper on day 81ish. I think I should have let her go up to a week longer.

Top gun isn’t as frosty as Sour Stomper but the buds look amazing. LSD isn’t too shabby but right now she’s very airy. Hopefully the buds will fill in.

Haven’t had much time to tend to the plants lately. Just been filling up their reservoirs and glancing at em to see for signs of ready’ness. 3bogxmango is still getting thicker and has more to give.

Chopped the 3bearsxmango smile on day 95. The smell and stickiness and frost are out of this world. The Stomper has finished drying! I used the lotus method and had the stompers sitting in paper bags in the fridge for 15 days. The stomper dried faster than I expected and they're at 55% RH humidity in the jars at the moment.

Total dry yield for the stomper = 206 grams!
I forgot to take pictures of the sour stomper while it was on the scale, and I've already given almost half of it away to friends. I will not make the same mistake with the rest of the plants and I'll be sure to take a picture of the weight on the scales.

BTW the yield is a bit inflated because the trim is very rough and I was lazy about cutting the stems close to the buds. Also, I have a hard time believing my stomper yielded 7 ounces as it doesn't pass my eye test - perhaps my scale is off? Either way, I'm thrilled with the results. The Sour Stomper smells like grape candy, hardly any chlorophyll or hay smell, and high is heavenly. No hyperbole, the Sour Stomper is one of the best buds I've ever smoked!
