so today my seeds were looking nice and healthy so I potted them today and very lightly watered with PH water BUT wtf do I do from here!??

My light is on a 20/4 schedule (viparspectra 600w)

How do I care for the seedling basically is what I’m asking!?

There’s 4 potted seedlings in my tent do I water them everyday? If so do I drench the soil or lightly water?

Should the water be PH’d or does it not matter at this stage?

Type of pot, and pot size? Soil? And rh... if you have low relative humidity, you'll want to put a dome over them to help keep the rh up. I'm in 3 gallon bags, soil, and I water every 3 to 4 days, about a quart per. That'll increase as the ladies grow (I keep another bag loaded with dry soil to compare weight). First couple grows can be a little rough, but you'll get thru.

And yes, pH any fluid that goes into your garden. Seedlings am running 6.2ish, increasing gradually thru the grow, topping out around 6.8 at flush.

Here's a pic of a plastic cup I use to trap a little more moisture

Biggest beginner mistake is over watering, then seedlings get leggy (too tall) and fall over. Let it get fairly dry between waterings, then lightly water seedlings. The roots need air from the drying as much as the water.

No nutes before day 10. Google 'feeding schedule' for the nutes you are using.

Read others' grow journals.

Use f*ck all water to begin with. Like 50-100ml only. They really don’t need very much and by giving them more you can create issues.

Less really is more at this stage. Wet/dry is not really an issue right now. You want the roots to go out searching for water so don’t soak the pots with loads of water. Add a really small amount each day.

What’s the temperature in your tent? You want it at least 75 degrees for seedlings. Hot and humid. Lower temps will mean very slow early growth. Soggy soil will mean small roots and small plants.

It’s all about the roots at this stage.

Yea my tent is 75-80 and 75-80% humidity I added more water this morning but very lightly like half a Gatorade bottle full between 4 plants with just ph’d tap water

You want around 60% for the veg, 40-50% for flower.

At this stage, it’s just a waiting game you will see after a week it should be poking up, each day it will grow a little bit don’t add any extra water what so ever, it’s water consumption is very low.

When it is above the soil you will see the leaves open up, when that’s above 3 or 4” above the soil add more soil to close the gap, you can do this a couple times it will help add strength to your little girl.

No one likes to say times but mine took about a week to show the tip out of the soil, some days will be nothing above soil but if you could watch the roots they are growing a lot so don’t worry too much if things seem to be not happening too fast. And right now she needs no sunlight to stretch her roots.

Day 70 today and she’s blooming up, cheers! It goes by fast!
