My fellow growers,
First off, Thanks a lot to all the regular posters here. I've been checking out the site for the past few days and have learned so much just by reading various threads and journals.

As the title says, I'm not a complete newbie, but definitely a newbie as far as autos are concerned. Although it's been a few years since, I've had an indoor grow and a couple of outdoor grows in pots and had some success. My problem is that I travel a lot for work, so it really limits me to how much time I can commit.

My inexperience with autos mainly stems from the fact that it seems the quality and yield has really increased compared to 5 or 6 years ago. It just didn't seem worth it.

As luck would have it, I know for a fact that I will be home (southern New England, USA) until January and thought I would try to utilize the rest of the summer here. Generally, the first frost hits around early to mid-November. I haven't ordered seeds yet, so I figure by the time I get them in late June/early July, I'll have time for solid guerilla grow in a great area that I've scouted (just have to worry about deer, rabbits, etc). I plan to have 30-40 autos spread out over 5-6 spots and staggered. I figured I'll lose 20% of the plants for various reasons. My goal is to use my yield as 10% personal, 10% to my best friend who'll be helping me from time to time, and 80% commercial. As such, I'm really focused on the high yield strains that are also somewhat hardy. here are the strains I'm considering-

Bomb – THC Bomb Autoflowering Feminized
Heavyweight – Fast and Vast Auto Fem
Cream of the Crop – Cash Crop Auto-Flowering
Pyramid – Auto White Widow – Auto Fem
Easy Ryder Autoflowering

Anyways, I just wanted to say Thanks again guys and I'm really looking forward to interacting with all of you. Obviously, comments or suggestions are always welcome.

Happy growin'!

Thought I would post a few pics from a previous indoor stealth growbox that I had made at home.

Hi gladiator
Welcome to the forums.
There's nothing like a good read and the forums are packed with great grows.
There nothing like a good journal to find out how are members like to grow their auto's.
Even if your not a first time grower, starting a journal in the new growers forum will be a good place to get any auto questions answered quickly.I'll give you a link - New Growers Forum
We also have an outdoor/Greenhouse forum, which is good for a read - Outdoor/Greenhouse
Sounds like it is gonna be a fun summer.
Don't forget to post some nice pics, so we can see them basking in the sun :D
See you in the forums

Im new to autos too. think this site is extremely helpful though. curious as to how a gorilla farmer operates seems like more fun then the indoor thing. part farm part hiking sounds like my cup of tea. I noticed you chose a bomb plant have you ever thought about the berry bomb. only reason I say that I noticed you wanted to do most of it for commercial. where im at the most common misconception is that colorful means better and therefore is easier to sell.

Welcome , gladiator! :welcome:

Autos have come a long way in a very short time, thanks to some very hard working breeders. You'll see some monsters as you look through the grow journals.
I would strongly recommend you take artys' advice and check out the outdoor grows. Autos can be a bit finicky, and with such a short season I'd be nervous doing a first grow with 30 or 40 beans on the line.
Best of luck, and never be afraid to ask!
:peace:,

Thanks guys for the warm welcome and the tips. I've already been reading quite a bit and I know I have much more to go to refresh my memory and to learn a lot of new info.

I can't wait to get started!

Hey gladiator welcome to afn!
I've done quite a few different auto's outdoors and my personal fav's for yield with good smoke are kannabia mikromachine, theres quite a few phenos but can consistently get 1/4 lb dry per plant. Auto extreme from Dutch passion worked well for me, only ran 3 but another 1/4 pounder and think different from Dutch passion as well.
Good luck!

Hey Canadian guerilla....Thanks for the input.

If I may ask was that indoor or outdoor?

Welcome Gladiator,

enjoy your AFN time. Happy to have you on board. eP.
