Hello and welcome to my first grow. This is a legal medical grow in the state of Michigan.

So the short verse. I live in a trailer. I'm surrounded by people and I want to grow my medicine and take care of my wife. My start up funds is $900 of which I purchased following.

1x 1000w hps/mh bulbs switchable ballast/6in air cooled hood combo (came with
yo-yo's and a timer.
1x 8,000btu wall air conditioner
3x 160cfm boost fans
2x 6"x25' foil ducting
1x 10'x100' Panda film.

Strains - Bought at Attitude Seeds (orderd today 7/29)

The room I choose was a storage room that had so much crap in it I just couldn't see not using it for something better. The dimension of the room in total is 9x7x7 but I made the flower room 7x6 roughly (haven't measured it since finishing) So let the chaos/destruction/creation begin.

CREATION

making the exhaust - i have it going into the bathrooma and out the non working bathroom vent.




The intake is coming from under the trailer. On which i have a air intake filter to hopefull keep all the crap out of under there from in the room. (SIDE NOTE: when turning on the intake fan and smelling the air coming in. It smells like a wet basement kinda. but it Just raind and is normally dry in there. so hopefully this won't become a problem.



Now to get the walls up and the light up... for the light support I used a 2x6 about 5 feet long and screwed it to the ceiling with about 20 screws. then panda filmed the the ceiling over it. Then i used some panda film as a Hammock to cradle the 2 inline fans i taped together between the wall and light for my exhaust fans.




now moving on the air conditioner. There is a lot of spots where light goes through the a/c and out to the outside. which is bad because i have neighboors like 20 feet on both sides. so i wanted to make some sort of vent/light trap that would allow the air to go come out an in but Light not to go out.




above picture shows the light outside...NOT GOOD how to combate this???

BOOM!!! done deal. I went outside with the light on at its brightest and there was no light coming outside and the room looks normal...


So thats all i got so far. I just need to get my beans and we will be on the road to med freedom

Nice start, Gage... it's obvious you've done some research, even down to the seed choices.

I do have a question for you... are you sure you want to pull non-climate controlled air from outside? I would be more inclined to use a passive intake from my climate controlled area and exhaust the heat, if it was me. Just curious.

Hope you don't mind if I pull up a seat.

Well i wanted to do this but a few variables figth aginst me.

1) the next room over is a bathroom and next to that is my sons room. I have guest over a lot and i'm not very public about my growing if you know what i mean. know one knows and i'd like to keep it that way. so bathroom is a no go and kids room is a no go the room on the other side ofthe grow room is my living room. As i say i'm in a trailer (single wide) so there is no more areas to pull from.

2) I don't have central air or control over the climent throughout the trailer. its just HOT!!!

Under the trailer even on the hotst days runs 10-15 degrees cooler. so I wanted to bring cool air form from the out side and from a place where it wouldn't be seen.

I hope to achieve cooler temps with possibly not having to run a A/c except to take humidity out.


The ultimate plan is to harvest the first 12 with in 70 days from seeds. taking the the first harvest. make my money back from the room and order about 20 more seeds. At which point i'll be doing a perpetual of 6 plants every 2 weeks. +/- a week depending on strain.

You should probably prepare yourself to do some explaining. I'm not saying you can't pull it off but if you have "a lot" of people coming over, somebody is going to hear/see/smell something sooner or later. Seriously, I have an area or two I have to cover for sometimes. It's best to be prepared.

Welcome to afn Gage! Mans done his home work! Great start! If I mite add my 2¢ worth. It is really hard when starting out to keep a perfect time schedule. Strains may say 70days from seed but its not always the case. Some may take little extra to ripen. As far as being stealthy enough, I've had dcfs inspections w/ 3 rooms going, room to room inspections. Now I knew they were comeing & that made it easier to hide but it is possible. Gage have fun growing bro, thanx for sharing & I'll be watch too... Need anything give a shout!

it's 90 right now and the air coming out is right at 70. almost feels like a a/c lol. and since its dried out. the smell is very mild.

As far as the smell goes. i forgot to mention i have a Carbon scrubber rated 240 CFM and as you know you take the cubic feet of your room and divide by 5. well i divide by 2.5 because i want the fresh air to be recycled every 2min 30 sec instead of every 5 min. this will help reduce the heat floating in the room. so for me.

7*6*7/2.5=117.6 cfm and i'm using 3x 160cfm (2 for exhaust 1 for intake)

As for the sound. the A/C drowns the sound out from outside. its barly whispers. I'm going to get a thick that's snug to the ground for extra sound protection and security. As for explaining. My family knows what i'm doing. and the majority of the people i talk to smoke. i just don't want people to know i'm growing. worst comes to worst i'm 100% legal and am not ashamed of what i do. This is medicine at its most purist and safest form. My son will know what medicine really is and what medicine really isn't. And I'm blessed with the opportunity to help up to 5 other people with there ailments. if any person i know personally looks down on the fact that i could bring peace to a suffering patient then i would tell them that i lost a little respect from them.
