Hey guys, this forum is awesome. It's nice to not have to dig through all the information on the other larger sights. I just ordered all of my equipment and am now starting to worry about what type of water, soil, and nutes I should use. I understand that Auto's should get no nutes until they sex, then a bloom nute during flower, then flush. Is this correct? I am really wanting to know what soil and nutes I can get from Home-Depot or Lowes. i would prefer a pre mixed soil. Any help would be great. I am here to stay, planning on doing a grow journal starting in the next week or two. Comments and questions will be appreciated:peace::toke::D.

Really sorry mate wrong thread ill delete the post Im non us but there is some results when you google lowes and cannabis compost

For the soil you want something that doesn't have time-release fertilizers, which rules out most of what the big box stores have. Just plain potting soil with some perlite (also found at HD/Lowes)mixed in would be fine for you to start with. If at all possible, find a local hydro shop as they'll have good soils like FoxFarm and Pro-Mix which take a lot of the guesswork out of things. Lowe's sells Better-Gro Orchid Plus and Bloom Booster nutes which are supposed to work well when used at half strength.

Thanks for your reply. i thought fox farms had nutes already in it? I wasn't sure if that was acceptable for Auto's. I would still rather use Lowes or Home depot. If i got fox farms, what nutes and when? Which soil should I get? Im on a limited budget after buying my equipment (I didn't want to skimp on cheap equipment I would have to replace.)

I decided on Ocean forest and fox farm nutes. Anyone have a good feeding schedule for fox farms?
