I'm in the midst of a first grow which is somewhat experimental. My first tree below is a Delicious Dark Purple, growing medium is a mix of store bought organic potting soil mixed with a couple handfulls of lawn cuttings stored in plastic container till it smelled like cow manure and some Dr Earth dry fertilizer. Plant is at day 38. No nutes just distilled water with no plans to use nutes.
Second tree below is a heavyweight fast and vast, growing medium is Roots Organic and Kind Soil as per Kind Soil website instructions. Distilled water. Day 19. Lighting is T5 48" 4 bulb(2 grow,2 bloom) 20,000 lumens. Light schedule is 19/5, I split the difference.
Notes: Delicious Dark Purple sprouted from seed with the two leaves and then did nothing for just over a week and then began to grow normally.
Both plants were taken out of tent and placed on windowsill for three days as we had to go out of town. We had been managing the light cycle without a timer and we had to leave town suddenly due to death in family, no time to purchase a timer and weren't comfortable with 72-96 hours of constant light so went with the lesser of two evils. Not sure what effect that may have had on them but they seem none the worse for wear.
Delicious Dark Purple is my experiment in terms of my growing medium concoction which I'll continue to refine. The majority of my future grows however will be Roots Organic, Kind Soil and distilled water with one plant in the homemade concoction.
Heights: Delicious Dark Purple is 20" and even though it is in flowering is still growing. Fast and Vast is at 11" and is starting to sprout daily after a short, slow, bushy start.
