Hi! Trying to make a long story short, I started growing some veggies with my kids and decided to grab some seeds from MSNL when our veggies actually germinated and stayed healthy. I got a 5 pack of bluetooth feminized autoflower since they were cheap and my first try etc..

I planted 2 to start and started them in Fox farm Ocean Forest, in 5 gallon vivosun fabric pots and watered them with a small amount of real growers recharge. Planted them on 12-1 and 1 sprouted 12-5, the other 12-6. This is where it gets wonky...

I have a 4400 sq ft garage that has medium tint glass garage doors that I have started all of my plants in next to one of the garage doors. I got a 5x5x7 cheapy greenhouse (to have a little more control in a smaller space) with shelves on either side and have some random peppers and herbs on the bottom 2 shelves and on the top shelf on one side are the 2 autoflowers. The greenhouse is set almost against one of the garage doors to let it as much natural light as possible.. I have a 1200 watt LED and 2 600 watt LED lights hanging about 20 inches from the seedlings. During the day I keep the lights on and take the canopy off to give the plants some air and natural light from the window. Also have a small humidifier on the shelf to keep the air moist as the climate here is VERY dry. At night I have been putting the canopy on, garage closed leaving, leaving lights on with a small space heater and humidifier on low trying to maintain some kind of consistency. I also open the garage doors on either side of the one I grow against and let some breeze and fresh air in every day. The outdoor temp ranges from about 50F at night to 80F in the day but about to get colder more like 65F in the day and 40 at night. The temp in the garage has much less fluctuation but does go up and down with the outdoor temps. I have left lights on 24 hours but have timers now and wondering if I should slowly take them to 18 and 6. Including some pics of 3 and 4 day babies. Super appreciate any advice! Happy growing :bighug:

heya @Ashleigh08 and :welcome: to afn! :toke: first off, jus as a headz up, ffof can be a bit hot for autoz...on the other hand, some growerz have no probz with it...jus fyi ;) either way, it should be enuff to sustain the seedlingz for at least their first 2-3 weekz before needing to feed anything ;) as far as the light cycle, it'z ur choice really, but if u do wanna go with 18/6, it'd be best to make the off time during the day, so the lightz will be able to add some heat durin the nite if it'z gonna be gettin colder like u say...jus me own 2 ctz ;)

Great advice thank you!!! I have read that about ff too and was the reason I was worried they took a bit to germinate! Thought it burned em and still worried its gonna be too much. I watch them so closely but I dont know enough/ over think everything so any advice or opinions I can get at all I'm stoked to have hahaha! :joy:

short & sweet, the best advice is keep it simple & above all -> p a t i e n c e grasshopper ;) oh, and don't overwater, lol :rolleyes2: when u do water, water in a ring, away from main stem, so the lil rootz are forced to find the water on their own, and thus -> grow :smokeit: domez work a treat too for added rh in the first dayz  ppp

Congrats on your first babies :headbang: :pighug: :astar: :jump:... lil tip here dont let the soil go completely dry.

Also those babies look a bit stretched maybe light is a bit higher.
Anything you need AFN is here!!

I fully agree patience is so important as well as being forgiving with yourself as it's all a learning process and it just gets better as you go and this site and the people on here are a wealth of experience and knowledge without so much of the judgement you get some other places when just looking for help trying to learn something your passionate about. AFN is the best thing I've come across for a good while not even just in regards to cannabis. Great people here, truly... I can't wait till I've figured out how to do things more efficiently and effectively as far as posting journals as I am stoked to interact with many of the excellent growers and great minds on here and continue learning. Good luck with everything you're in the best of hands with this community.

@Ashleigh08 :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:Your environmental control is critical to your outcome. 68°F night with 78°F days RH >40%<60%. These are ideal and we all know that is not always possible. I run and recommend an 18/6 light schedule for autos. Because of the natural daylight it might be hard to flip your day/night without a good tent. If your green house gets too cool at night <64°F get an oil filled heater and warm the space. If you have to start amping up the heater get some ridged foam insulation. It is very easy to work with.

Have fun and enjoy your new babies!

Good start with covering the basics with the light energy to grow, now it's up to the environment and patience. Taking pics will show ya how they are responding....when I was trying to convince myself, I'd take a succession of pics for several days....
