Hi, I recently started my first grow ever and after some research I went with Mephisto based on their reputation.

It's a small closet grow of just two plants(Forum Stomper and DGx3BOG) in 3 gallon fabric pots(Biobizz light/perlite) under a Roleadro Full Spectrum 3rd Gen 600w(135 actual). Temps are a constant 75-80f with 40-50% humidity and I have a fan going with good air circulation.

I started the grow by watering the pots well with plain water and letting them sit under the light for 24 hours before planting the seeds directly in their final pots. The broke soil 4 days later(yesterday) and I think are looking ok, but I have a couple of questions.

First, how should I go about watering young plants? My plan was to let the pot dry out completely before watering again, but i have been misting the top soil 2 or 3 times a day when it's looking a bit dry. Is this a sound approach?

Also, they look a bit lanky so I lowered the light to 24 inches, that sound good?

I'll post a pic of each below, feel free to throw in any advice. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

:welcome: Off and running! Seedlings like a higher RH, 60 to 70% at those temperatures. You can put a clear glass or cup over the top of them until they get too big. Make em their own little RH domes. Just prop a side a little so there is a bit of air exchange. As for watering, I use a spray mister and put a couple squirts of water inside the jar. I keep the surface of the rest of the pot slightly damp by using the spray bottle. After the plant gets too big for its jar, I start watering just outside the leaves. Check out the link below for the current grow which will show ya what I"m talking about if ya want to.

Good luck with your grow!:headbang:

into the brave new world! :yay: heya @MrObscura and :welcome: to afn! :toke: all ur bebez need for the first few dayz to a week is a misting of the soil 2-3 timez a day & 65-75% rh...hint -> domez work a treat for keepin the rh up :headbang: then, once u do start reg watering, alwayz uze the width of the leavez as a guage & water in a ring, away from the stem, so the lil rootz are forced to find the water on their own, and thus grow :smokeit: and, above all -> p a t i e n c e grasshopper :smoking: great commune here & anything u need, jus give a holler

Day 4. A little lanky still, but hopefully lowering the light to 24 inches will help.

Looking good. They working on roots right now. Soon they will begin to explode in growth. Just keep a humidity dome on them for the time being to keep them happy :joy:
