New Grower First AF in PC stealth grow... How far from harvest?

Good day fellow grow and smoke enthusiasts

At the end of October I germ'ed 2 autoflower seeds which I ordered from Europe. One is auto Bruce Lee aka Kickass from Kanabia seeds in Spain and other one is Northern Light auto from FemaleSeeds in Netherlands. The sprouted on 25 of October and have been doing real well. I did have some soil and watering issues in the beginning as this was my first grow They were stunted in the beginning of their veg cycle and then I changed up soil composition and my nutes and ph etc, transplanted and ever since they have been rocking!

I am growing with 6 cfl's all 20w each inside a old pc server case. The one is really budding nicely, the Bruce Lee, and is 3 days from 60 days life time. The manufacturer descriptions indicated that it is a 60 days from seed-to-harvest autoflower plant. How exactly accurate is it or will there still be some variability to that time? I don't have a magnifier glass so I am not sure how to measure the harvest time without checking the trichomes or whatever. I know you have to look for hairs to turn amber, from white, or something like that?

If you dont have a magnifier.....use your phone to take a close up.....then after you've taken your photo..... view and zoom in......It works great and you'll have a time stamped reference...... I take a photo of the same leaves so that I can observe the progress. Oh and make sure your camera lens are clean......

there are a few android apps free in play store magnifier camera and cosy magnifier i used them with my s7 also they may be some for iphone i hope it helps also i am on my 1st grow i think yours need more time to fill out i am at day 66 its meant to be a 8 week strain im going to run it to 10 then flush for maybe 10 days

I just got really happy when I re-located my 10x field lens. My stoner ass was trying to figure out a way to Macgyver it to look through the camera lens.... Yeeeaaaaaahh. These ideas, much more practical, infinitely more implementable

Thanks for the advice about the magnifier app. So this was taken with half magnification because the quality looks pretty terrible on full magnification....

A while back I bought a couple of usb microscopes. One is the Dino Lite Am2111 as well as the Bodelin Pro Scope EDU, both around $100. The Bodelin is much better, cleaner. You can buy a lower cost ($10) pocket scope from Amazon like the Carson MM200 to check trichomes.

You can get those microscopes super cheap, like $10 on Amazon. Also, those white pistils sticking out, they have to shrink and turn orange. There will be some white ones sticking out at any time, but the greatest majority will shrink before it's ready for harvest. Also, the timeline the sellers give is not written in stone. I have had two seeds from the same strain give me different harvest times. The signs each individual plant gives is what determines that.

The buds look nice, but a bit airy. With more practice, that will improve. My first grow had these cabbage-like, very airy, buds. And it was still better than the stuff I had been buying! LOL

Thanks for the info about the pistils shrinking and turning orange... Also what do you mean by airy buds? Like what in the grow method causes that? So that I keep out for that in the next grow

I bought a magnifying glass today, but just a cheap one I found at a toy shop... Its close to Christmas time and I can't get anything delivered in the next 3 days... I don't live in a country where Amazon ships to so that sucks unfortunately, but we have our own online retailers and will order something after Christmas.

Hello people, happy holidays to all

So I have somewhat of a dilemma now... I have to go away tomorrow for 6 days. So I am thinking of harvesting when I get back. My plant will be fine if I just keep it on its current cycle? I cant really check the trichome yet as I will only get my delivery probably when I get back... Its better to harvest later than earlier? If I say do not have a choice.
