My own breed
My Northern Lights showed up to be a man.
My first reaction was dissapointment but then I realize I could pop another NL seed(hopefully a girl this time) and use my males pollen to create a bunch of NL seeds.

Are there any negatives using pollen from a male supposed to be a feminized girl?
I guess the seeds in this 5-pack from RQS all come from the same mother.
Will there be inbreeding depression?

Interesting - and it's not simple... I'm sure others will correct me if my understanding is wrong.

IF all the seeds were FEMINISED then your seed can only be carrying XX (Feminised) genes as opposed to XY (Regular Male and Female). So you've managed to Hermie one into a Male - but it will be carrying XX Female only genetics. So - and this is where all sorts of recessive genetics throw weird stuff - If you cross a hermie xx with a female xx - you SHOULD in theory get another generation of Northern Light Females << or you could end up with quite a lot of hermies because for whatever reason that trait has continued into the next generation.

Why not give it a try... :D And why stop at the NL, try pollinating a branch of something else to give you 'your own F1 hybrid cross). There are threads in the breeders section that deal with pollen collection and selective (one branch only) pollination. But do be aware that introducing pollination into the grow room is not desirable from a bud production point of view, so you might be better setting up a separate grow space for pollination experiments (better than realising your grow has all gone to seed).

Thanks, when you feminise a mother are there always a 100% female seed rate or can it show up a male naturally, or are the males in these cases always a result of stress?

It CAN be stress because the tent was 90f for many weeks(now it’s down to 85f) but belive me, it looks completely male, there are no female pubic hairs anywhere.
I mean, if it’s hermie it will have both female and male charcteristic?

And yes, I will move him to another room before he start to ejaculate ;)

From my personal research on this topic....
Genetics are finicky. And most breeders will tell you 99% fem to cover genetic mutation that just makes a random seed a true male. If it started as a female and hermied to male, the pollen should give fem seeds. But if it just happened to be a true male, itll give regular (not fem) seeds.
Id personally move for selective breeding 1 branch from another plant or even just a small side branch and get 5 or 10 seeds to find out if theyre all female or regular before using the pollen for any other crosses.

Fire one off for me [emoji108] HG

Just do it. Even if you get hermies you can make them extracts and edibles. You can also smoke them and since most hermies are usually very potent but with lower yields, with high thc % , you can enjoy the smoke. It is tiring to get rid of seeds though...
